Must-have song for Fallout 4

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 10:51 am

The radio mods ive used for Fallout 3 over the years have had a few songs that have made it into new games. Jingle Jangle Jingle was in More Where That Came From, and Atom Bomb Baby was in CONELRAD. Both great tracks that fit right in. I am hoping for this one in Fallout 4, or in a radio mod after the fact: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_0OVHcIMh0

That song was great for walking through the Capital Wasteland with, and it'll be great for wandering The Commonwealth aswell.

I think the overlap between "people who will play Fallout 4" and "people who are even aware of what 'real country music' is anymore" is going to be pretty small, and most of those are probably going to enjoy it just because it isn't modern pop radio.

It's kind of funny. I used to think Hank Williams sounded 'old' as a kid, but when I grew up I began appreciating a lot of music with heart in the lyrics. It's why I've come to appreciate classic/outlaw country, but I don't care for modern country because it sounds like pop music with a country twang. It's not very different from Nashville of 70s, just without the god awful sequin suits but still lacking the soul of classics. Hank's music is really incredible to me now as an advlt. Some of it is the most haunting stuff you'll ever hear, others are such great upbeat songs and some are so uplifting on the soul.

You're right...today's country svcks. If Hank or Loretta Lynn were trying to get started today, no-one in Nashville would even talk to them. What's ironic is that a number of country artists from that era did well on the Pop charts too, like Patsy Cline.

One more reason I'm waiting for mods to buy/play Fallout 4.

Got to have a bountiful list of songs to burn through, I can do with Three Dog or his replacement but I need more songs.

A lot of people cried here on the Forums about the country songs in NV, not to mention the Rat Pack era music.....fortunately for us gamesas will most likely stick to their guns and serve up appropriate music instead of cRap music and the Pre-Fab Auto-Tune superstars that pass for modern music these days.

You could put pretty much any Frank Sinatra song and it would suit the game.

It is Boston, so how 'bout a station with more Irish influences?

I mean with Vegas we did get more western themed music

Maybe not all "period correct" but I think they'd all fit in into the Fallout Universe pretty well:

Johnny Cash - Hurt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCdBc5uByFQ
