We must make sure this is in Skyrim

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 8:19 am

As you all know Marrowind had the Werewolf gameplay, which if I may say was marvelous. Than Oblivion came out with the Vampire game play which also made the game twenty times better!

Question - Will Skyrim have an ability to play one of these? I think it should have both abilities! Imagine side quests as either the Werewolf where you battle the Undead! Or join the Undead and Slay the Ravaged beast that threaten your very existence !

Also, the Dark Brotherhood! Personally I think these were the most fun, and challenging quests in both Marrowind, and Oblivion! If the Dark Brotherhood was to be left out of Skyrim I would feel a great sarrow in Skyrim. Although I wouldn't play the game the save as I did Oblivion or Marrowind.

ENDING: Fellow Elder Scrolls players and Employees, we must have all this content in Skyrim! If this content isn't in Skyrim I think I can speak on behalf of the players there will be a great disappointment, and the constant thought of how it was in Oblivion, and Marrowind. Thanks for your time. Please Bump this thread up, and comment your thoughts on everything. We must make the Employees see we need this in the game!

I agree Nekator! But a war under a war can be very interesting. The Dragonborn fights the Sons of Skyrim war. While underneath the Vampires and Werewolfs fight. The game can already shows the unlimited opportunities it posses just by the trailer and information out. But if they had side quests for one of the two blights. It will be EPIC

Again, DB confirmed, vampires are like, ALWAYS in TES games, and i'm not all that hopeful (and honestly don't care) about were beasts.

And I'll point out again, Morrowind had vampires and did not have the DB (except in the Tribunal expansion and i don't think you could join them then anyway).

But if they had side quests for one of the two blights. It will be EPIC

Sir, It will be epic regardless. :mohawk:

You made the same thread, but with a different title? I see your "best side quest" thread with the same list on the first page?

1) bumping is illegal
2) Please don't speak on my behalf
3) I would not be disapointed
4) It's really too late to ask for such large features to be in the game
5) Have a nice day :)

I thought the black hand was part of the dark brotherhood. And what if I didn't want the dark brotherhood in? What should I vote for... dark brotherhood in or dark brotherhood/black hand in?

Definitely vampires and werewolves.

Dark Brotherhood has already been confirmed.

I think that Vampires will be in to some extent, I only hope it is like Morrowing and a family is joinable, not like Oblivion where it was just another 'class' to play the game as.

I would love to see Werewolves in Skyrim, as they were in Bloodmoon, the gameplay was great and I would like it to be a unscheduled change and can potentially catch the player unaware with a change, giving less than an hour in game (2-3 minutes) to get away from civilisation before the change.

Maybe it's just me, but I always thought the whole vampire vs werewolf thing was just plain stupid. Yet some people get so obsessed over it. Probably more from the vampire crowd. Anyways, I'd have zero interesting in seeing it in Skyrim.

Mine from the other topic.
What are these two threads for!

DB is confirmed, vampires are almost assuredly in, werebeasts are probably in.

And second part of your poll doesn't make sense!

Aside from all the flaws already pointed out...

What's with the resurgence of Underworld-mythos copypasta on these boards? TES vampires have no real reason to be universally (or even slightly) pissed off at TES were-creatures, or vice-verse. And even if one could be constructed, it shouldn't be, because such a thing is cliche and boring and overdone.

This, as long as the Dark Brotherhood doesn't look like the sad bunch of emos they were in Oblivion.

They've already confirmed that there will be the dark brotherhood, and they've always have vampires. Pretty much the only thing you can speculate on is werewolves.

The Dark Brotherhood is a complete necessity!
I know lots of you have said its already been confirmed, but just to make sure, I'm reiterating my support for the Dark Brotherhood. The DB's story line and quests were gripping and exhilarating in Oblivion - by far the most fun "guild" to join, though the others were great too. On several occasions, I would create a character, rush through the main quest line to get rid of the bothersome oblivion gates opening up all over the place, then devote my by-now-decently-powerful character to the Dark Brotherhood (sometimes creating my own contracts in the imperial city, because this game series is where I get out all my nerdiness).

Vampires and werewolves: sounds like a huge amount of fun.
I loved becoming a vampire in Oblivion, but would always end up finding the cure because of how inconvenient it is. I really wish you could bottle blood, and take it with you. That seems like something a vampire would actually do, and isn't unreasonable. Also, as mentioned above somewhere, after becoming a vampire, a representative from a vampire family should come find you once a short amount of time has elapsed. This would open up the war against werewolves...
Werewolves are something I always thought were lacking in Oblivion. Granted, I didn't mind because Oblivion was awesome, but Skyrim should be an improvement on Oblivion. Anyways, werewolves would be f-ing sweet. Every full moon (or maybe something different, because I remember more than one moon in Oblivion), knowing you will turn into a werewolf after being bitten would be cool beyond measure. If werewolves are included, which I hope they are, then there needs to be a "violence mechanic" that causes your character to lash out at NPC's in proximity without your control. I feel like that would make the whole "I'm a werewolf and I'm dangerous and untamed" deal come to life. But perhaps that won't happen. Just wishful thinking. Also, just like with the vampires, there needs to be a werewolf representative who finds you after some time, and invites you to join a fraternity of werewolves, introducing you to the war on vampires.

If any of the creators of Skyrim see this post, I realize that you guys have probably come up with these ideas or similar ones already, but I want you to know the public would definitely be pleased with the outcome if you were to include at least part of what is posted above. Can't wait till 11-11-11

by all means. let's totally stop development and try to implement this. oh, while we're at it let's put EVERYONE'S suggestions into the game. even the guns (as another thread asks). so the release date 11-11-11 is really 11-11-2111 right?

Again, why? There are no standing reasons in TES to pit vampires versus werewolves. They have different methods for hunting, they have vast tracts of land on which to keep separate from one another, their origins come from Daedric entities that don't really have beefs with one another (Vaermina/Molag Bal for vamps and Hircine for were's), and since the time of Adamantine Tower they've had no real motivation to pay attention to each other whatsoever (and in the eyes of all observers on Tamriel that have ever existed, they haven't ever paid attention to each other).

I won't pretend to know Elder Scrolls lore haha. You probably have me beat there. But I can provide my reasoning:

Its not unfathomable to believe new scuffles can break out between previously peaceful factions. Not at all an impossibility. I mean, even in real history we see that, i.e. Jews being killed en mass by nazis even though they were formerly leading members of German society. In light of what I know about what is going on politically in Skyrim, its possible that vampires and werewolves, both being the kinds of mythical monster-things that kill people, are deciding to use the turmoil during this apocalyptic scenario to forge a permanent place as the only human-devouring creature there is. Or maybe the vampires could sympathize with that big ol' evil world ending dragon thing, and werewolves could not, or vice versa, and they fight as a result of that sympathy? The possibilities are endless. But if you think its an impossibility because of conflicts with past games' stories, then I'm willing to accept that. I just thought it'd be pretty cool plot layer.

Oh and to Geckoman: That is why the forums are here - to make suggestions. And yeah, 11-11-11. That's what is says on the trailer. I'm pretty sure in context it means 2011, but if you really want clarification I will provide it. *EDIT* I can't wait until November 11, 2011, on the Gregorian Calender, which is the supposed release date of Skyrim.

Closest thing that vampires and werewolves have against each other is that some vampired have fed on werewolves. Daggerfall mentioned this on a book and also had a quest that a pack of werewolves had to cleared out of a cave for a special vampire meeting to take place. But that was it. Vampires never had any problems with werewolves that was a large war-like battle. Hell, we only see vampire clans pit against vampire clans. Werewolves mostly are secluded people who don't really like the whole "fraternity" thing. So I vote for werewolves to be in the game, just not a war against the vampires. There is no reason, they have no blood feud or anything like that. They are just supernatural beings.

What's the difference between the Black Hand and the Dark Brotherhood? I thought the Black Hand were the most important members of the Dark Brotherhood....
