Interesting, thanks for providing this link.

I currently have the 11.11b driver, but I'm using FXAA instead of MSAA. I wonder if there would be any performance improvement over 11.11b and 11.11c?

What is up with people using overly-hyped, under-informative thread titles like ""?

There were many more characters available in the topic line, and then a whole additional sub-topic line if that's not enough.

For example a more informative topic would name would have been "New ATI drivers offer up to +15% performance and MSAA"

That said, thanks for the heads up.

There seem to be more problems with performance and compatibility on various AMD/ATI GPUs than Nvidia with Skyrim.

And there's already a thread about the 12.1 preview drivers -- http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1314947-amd-recommends-using-the-121-preview-driver-not-1112/

I hear on the nvidia forums / guru forums that there will be a nvidia driver out before the end of the year, rumour but hopeful.

The drivers in question for AMD/ATI are "Preview" or Beta drivers, not yet ready for release. Nvidia already has two Beta drivers with Skyrim changes: 285.79 and 290.36. The latter adds in SSAO without having to use Nvidia Inspector, which I believe AMD/ATI GPUs currently lack.

The problem is, Skyrim gets rather CPU-limited at higher settings.
