Mute ChracterPerma Head Damage

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2016 8:32 am

So..I'm sure someone posted about this "somewhere"..but I for the life of me can't find it and want to bring attention to it.

I experienced that fabled "headless" glitch where a Deathclaw decapitates me, but I somehow live...and permanently experience the headless blur effect and damaged limbs (no matter what healing is done). I fixed it by entering and exiting power armor (so now my character has a head and his limbs are "fixed").

The game however, is now BROKEN.

My player character is MUTE and cannot finish certain quests nor can he interact during dialogue. Although I can start dialogue, my character reactions/responses don't even start (I think it's due to me technically not having a head).

So..this is game-breaking....and NO ONE seems to know how to fix it, minus starting from an earlier save (an option I'd rather avoid because the dialogue issue started many hours after my "headless fix" using the power armor).

I made a support ticket with Bethesda, and of course, NO response...

So forum people, please tell me. Do I need to rage and burn this game or is there a small hope that an actual fix will occur?

Thanks guys!

***Note*** a big "kiss my butt" to those who respond with, "stop whining and just start an earlier save". I think it's BS that I gotta lose hours upon hours of progress (and some luck) because of one of a million bugs this game experiences. I love this game, but just hate that one small thing has ruined the entire 80+ hours experience). Obviously I'll restart a new save eventually, but this is my first play through and it would be annoying as hell to re-invest that much time into it (especially if some other bug (or the same one) is gonna screw that new save up anyway)...

So, after weeks and weeks of getting no reply (on forums, or via my support ticket) I'm pretty fed up with this game-breaking issue. I used to have high respect for Bethesda but man...their handling of this bug-ridden game is kinda making me lose faith.

Try the following console command

player.recycleactor

Sorry for the delay, didn't even see the topic.

Also could you PM me a link of the save. Use OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox to upload the save. A full manual save is better than a quicksave.
