» Thu Oct 20, 2011 1:02 am Vault 22 : I go in there, doing the quest looking for the ghoul. Oddly enough, there are logs on the terminals, and I would hear a creepy ass typing sound out of no where. At first, I thought it was that Ghoul I was looking for - you know, typing on a terminal. I was thinking 'heh, maybe I will find her typing...' I never found her so ditched the quest. To this day I still hear that typing in the Vault. It was most frequently near the Vault door chamber, around there.
Ulysses' Temple : When you enter Ulysses' Temple (around ED-E's sleeping pod) I can hear typing as I approach the door into the warhead room. I can't explain it, before I even entered the room I thought 'heh, maybe I will find Ulysses typing...' but of course I didn't.
What I've noticed : Is that the typing only happens in closed spaces, like Vaults or Chamber rooms. Is this some creepy sound thing that the devs put in? Like 'pre-war scientists, still doing their research' or something?
Has anyone else heard this mysterious typing? What do you think it is? Do you have an explanation? The typing sounds like really vigorous typing, not on a keyboard like ours, like the keyboard on a terminal. (Like when you hack it, and it makes that sound.) It goes on for a while, and takes a few stops as if the person typing, were thinking. It's a lot like human typing, not continuous, it stops here and there. But it doesn't stop long enough to go away. Sometimes it will but will come back later. D;
