Probably old news to some. But at the moment I'm doing research on reviews on Mark Twain and stumbled across No.44.. Its main character or figure is the Mysterious Stranger.
It was Samuel Clemens last novel and its of a theological nature. And as we all know the weapon the Mysterious Stranger uses is a .44 magnum. And he can be such a Godsend some times. I thought it was odd the reference wasn't in the FO wiki.
Any interesting references or connections you guys made to Fallout?
This also is a little out there but I was thinking of Ulysses the old "friend" of the Courier. And I also found a review on how Huckleberry Finn is related to the Odyssey. You know how much of the story is on a water. And the story goes on in small episodes or adventures. And the water is a major plot device being both a friend and foe. Also deals with the choice of sacrificing yourself to a horrible afterlife you know sure in your mind is real. I'd get much more indepth. Also there is some evidence of twain writing Huckleberry Finn when thinking of the Odyssey.
Also Huckleberry Finn deals alot about the notion of slavery and I can't help but think of the Legion.
Makes me wonder if we'll get stuck traveling down a raft with Ulysses down the Colorado:P
