I've been seeing weird markings in random areas throughout Skyrim.
Not sure if they are significant or not.

the last one is the thieves guild sign the rest im not sure about and have been wondering it myself.

I think they are markings of guilds, I did notice them too and it is kinda wierd

Heh! I also seen one carving like that somewhere.... I don't remember where, but it was a square and a lot of lines inside it or something... Definitely different looking than the ones on your picture...

They must mean something

Though the one in the third picture looks like the Thieves Guild's

Haha, no problem. I think it's lying about on a desk somewhere. Basically, the thieves have signs indicating if a place is safe/dangerous/hideout etc. Very useful, in my opinion.

There's a glossary of all the Thieves Guild Shadowmarks on page 222 of the Strategy Guide. There's a total of 9 shadowmarks.
1. "The Guild"
2. "Safe"
3. "Danger"
4. "Escape Route"
5. "Protected"
6. "Fence"
7. "Thieves' Cache"
8. "Loot"
9. "Empty"

Apparently, there's even a book in-game which you can find entitled "Shadowmarks." It can be found in Riften (The Ratway Cistern).

In old times people often carved symbols near doors/ entrances to denote certain things.
It was sort of a secret code.

"Here we feed the vagrant"
"Here we are protestant"
"We know witchcraft"

Thieves and miscreants also used a code, but these were made on less noticable places.

"Careful, dogs"

Etcetera.

It is very likely that these signs note allegiance to a faction.

All of the images shown are symbols for the thieves guild, they are marks used to indicate certain things to their guild members. There is a book which details what each news means found inside the guild.
