Mysticism

Don't worry OP the spells that were in the school of Mysticism will still be there. They've just folded them into other schools which makes sense seeing the mages guild no longer exist.

Well of course people think Mysticism is useless when they dumbed it down in Oblivion. To the people saying "Well the spells can easily be merged into other things". With that line of thinking why don't we just merge everything into two branches of magic? Harmful magic and helpful magic. If anything spells from Restoration, Alteration, and Illusion can easily be put back into Mysticism where they belong.

And telekinesis has tons of untapped potential. Placing items in your inventory from far away. Blasting moveable objects and creatures around with a sudden "burst". Lifting items or creatures and slamming them into traps or walls. Heck just think of the super gravity gun from HL2. It could easily be the offensive part of Mysticism. Like "Absorb" used to be. And still should be.

What was stated in the article was that the name of the school of magic "Mysticism" was redundant. Not useless. As they felt that Mysticism was redundant, they got rid of that branch magic, and shifted the associated spells into other schools of magic.
The pieces are still there for you to find, just not in the usual place.

Except the issue here isn't the removal of the spells.

Mysticism is not going to be put back into the game no matter how much we discuss it.

Let us have a moment of silence and mourn, and be done with it.

Yes, but if we discuss it a lot and make Beth hear us then its possible to prevent an incredibly idiotic precedent from taking hold.
