Bump for love, and to once again express my fears themythofstrider is roaming the streets somewhere suffering from Mythic Madness.

Actually I sent him a message a while back about something and haven't heard back, so it's possible he's dealing with more pressing issues or something, though it'd be nice to have an update on progress.

Progress is at a standstill at the moment so apologies for that. As far as i remember i just have the flesh atronach left (there's 3 versions) and the crystal knights. Then some general touch up stuff (texture seam reduction mostly) and release. So not too much longer.

Yay  :disco:  :disco:  :disco:  :disco:

Take as long as you want, just as long as they're all as awesome as what you've shown so far.

I'm really interested in seeing the Knights of Order. Are you going to attempt to make them look more like actual crystals? I don't know how you feel about transparent textures, but a little of that could be cool. You might have to re-texture the crystals they spawn at, though, to keep them from looking under-textured.

Bad news,

Photoshop is no longer in working order  I guess adobe updated something and my licensing agreement is now void. I can't express how loudly I cursed when that happened. I was halfway through the knights of order but I guess I won't get a chance to finish :sadvaultboy:

Soooo ... what to do with this project? I was planning on retiring from modding (for real) after mythic madness and RL has become a bit hectic for me, so I guess I'll just have to release this as is.

Comments? concerns? wailing sobs of despair? ...indifference?

You call up Adobe and give them a piece of your mind. Then get Photoshop fixed. Then finish what you started! If you feel like it. ;)

I still hope you would continue, but again, that's coming from selfish reasons more than anything. If it stops becoming fun, then you shouldn't do it. sad to see you go, but hey, Skyrim is around the corner. You can't leave yet!

Oh, no!

Have you tried using GIMP? It's got a lot of the same functionality. It might take a minute to get used to the differences but I don't see why you couldn't be able to finish your work with it.

Honestly, I was looking forward to this more than ever having just finally gone into the Shivering Isles. I was hoping to hear some news soon, but this is not what I was expecting!! :(

A bit sad to know that the project will shut down especially as the work done is really excellent.

The project is mostly complete (about 85-90%). The knights of order, flesh atronach are the notable omissions. I upload what I have in the near future so keep a look out.

Most of the textures are release quality. The grummite has a bit of texture seam issues on the back tentacles (but they're not too bad) and I think the flesh hound is a little rough. So you can try em out in game see if you like them. If not just delete those specific files and it'll revert back to vanilla.

No worries, you'll still be getting some good stuff (elytra, gnarl, grummite, balliwog, shambles, murk dweller, hunger). Right now my textures cover most of shivering isles.

As far as learning gimp, after using photoshop I'm not sure if I'd be able to texture with anything else. I'd probably put my fist through my monitor in a fit of rage .. and that wouldn't solve any problems.

Well I'm definitely psyched and super grateful you'll be releasing what you've completed so far. But your stuff is always so great so I really want to see your Knights of Order haha. Oh well, 90% is definitely plenty awesome. If I ever make it through texturing WEPON stuff or armors with any good success maybe I'll go on to texture the remaining SI creatures to avenge your modding-death.

First to download! Although I've yet to step in SI. >_> From the images, everything looks really good. Wish you or someone else can complete the set some day.

Aah damn, I was going to bug you at some point to ask if you will be doing a 1024 version of all of them (like mythic animals extra file) - Not likely now. Although if it was me I would seriously be having a pop at adobe.

I have been eyeing these up for a while for the desktop (Mythic Ghosts, Creatures and this new Madness set), but waiting until you had a moment to suggest the above, 2048 everything for us is just a bit too much of a VRam hog with everything else we have installed.

I assume everything apart from Animals are 2048 anyway, they are only described as Hi-Res with the mention of aspiring to make them all Qarl quality, which is the only thing which has put me off grabbing.

Any tips for re-scaling them ourselves with GIMP? - Any particular re-scaling method which would be best so as not to lose detail, how many mip maps, DXT compression method ... things that would be relevant to try when GIMP pops up with How do you want to save these.
