Look at that texture work! The vibrant colors! The attention to detail! The exquisite normal map! Such beautiful definition! Exclamation points! ...!
I'm probably going overboard with the complements, but I really truly am constantly impressed by the textures. Like, preview screenshots are just incapable of representing how great they look in-game for some reason. Maybe I'm just easily impressed, but Mythic Madness somehow came out better than I expected, and you know me I've been hyped about it since almost when you started work on it.
Anyway, I actually had an idea having to do with all of the Mythic textures. I was thinking about how it's been so long since I've seen the vanilla textures for all of the animals and creatures in my game that have Mythic textures. And while I'm more than happy with the Mythic textures, I'm always looking for added diversity in my game (which is why I've got like three or four NPC clothing mods installed so pretty much every NPC has a unique outfit, for example). Thus I thought about creating a mod that would consist of added creatures with the Mythic textures rather than just the Mythic textures replacing the vanilla ones. The basic idea is that the Mythic creatures could be placed in leveled lists with their vanilla counterparts, so that, for example, every one out of three times or half the time or whatever a Mythic version of the creature spawns instead of the vanilla one. The Mythic version could of course be a beefed up version of the original instead of just a straight copy, so that in addition to seeing a different texture every one out of x times you'd also face a more challenging battle. Anyway, I feel like it's a pretty good idea, but I don't have the skills yet to do the mod myself. It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to implement though. I'm curious how the god of creature texturing feels about it of course.
