Mythological creatures, which do you want to see?

What mythological creatures would you like to see in Skyrim, that were not featured in past games?

I want to see creatures unique to TES. They might be partially inspired by creatures in real world mythology, but they should be unique in some way.

I'd like to see the return of some of he creatures from Daggefall and Morrowind, things like the ogrim, seducers, daedra lords, golems, were-creatures, giants, giant spiders and loads of other stuff. Mods like OOO and MMM prove that the way forward is more diverse types of creatures, as well as more diverse looks for similar creatures.

Large ancient ones... Like an Atronach that half buried in a cliff side, and stands 30 feet tall.
Gryphons, Sphinx and Chimera.

Decent snakes (regular and monstrous).

** Small critters (like an insect plague of milk carton size or smaller), A foe that cannot easily be struck one or two at a time with a stick/sword; but must use are affect attacks.
I remember a game that had severed undead hands that would patrol tight areas and crawl up the PC and grab their throat.

Yetis are on the top of my list, nothing like getting woken up from a nice rest by a giant screaming yeti.

Or an enraged homeless person.

Giants obviously. And I second the idea of very large and ancient monsters. Whats playing an epic nordic hero if the greatest foe you can defeat is the monster equivalent of a twerp?

Some ones I made up before.

Long-necked giant burrowing lizard with feathers for protection

Wolf-griffin (wolf with eagles wings and maybe beak)

Wooly mammoth/rhinoceros with outward jutting tusks domesticated as war beasts and battering rams

Wooly ostrich

I'd like to see more creatures existing in fresh water, like the nokken and Each Uisge.

Werewolfs of course and some "Udyr" (creepy Troll Monsters like The Udyrfrykte in Bloodmoon), Ice Trolls aka Grahl, Fryse Hags (more frighten counterparts to spriggans), Draugrs (Special Nord Zombies) and hopefully some complete new creatures.

Perhaps Ice age mammals would fit well, Smilodons, Giant Sloths, Giant Deer or Caribou?, Woolly Rhinoceros, Giant Boar. Giant Bears
As for Mythological, Snow Trolls, Yetis, Wereboars, Werewolves, Werebears, Horkers, Frost Giants (Karstaag anyone?) Minotaurs, Centaurs, Ice Wyrms.

I'd like to see most of those already listed by Gizmo.

Gorgons would be a fun enemy, especially if some kind of cool petrification effect was added.
Hydra... though Bethesda's animators might balk at the prospect of a 9-headed poison- or fire-breathing creature.

Cockatrice: Small, lethal and can turn you hero into stone.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockatrice

Golems: but not witty ones (Dragon Age's witty golem got tiring). And, making your own might be fun!
Naga: Just not hindu themed, viking themed Naga! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C4%81ga
Wyvern: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyvern
Calygreyhound: Image search it, url is too long.

And, somekind of giant albino worm.

Does your avatar move? I swear I saw it move out of the corner of my eye so I stared at it for a good minute, then looked away and it moved again.... I am creeped out right now.

Well the obvious choices given the location would be take reference from Scandinavian and Baltic/Slavic mythologies/folklore. Slavic I find especially great for creepy creatures that could easily haunt the bogs and forests of Skyrim.

Dragons?

Other than that Chimera(e) would be cool, but they don't fit there at all.
Or gorgons, maybe. or Basilisks.

also: PLATYPUS!!! :D Bring them to TES! Say they're some long lost ancestors of the dragons or something. :3

Ive seen alot of good ideas so far but for me the most important thing will be the number of different enemies. I loved Oblivion but after awhile it got annoying that there were only a handful of creatures to fight depending on your level.

A giant furry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tardigrade. :3

I'd also love to see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleistocene_megafauna Both aggressive and passive.
