Mzulft Aerodome(After becoming Arch-Mage)

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 2:12 pm

So I finished the Winterhold story quest but now I want to see all the other spots of magic on the map!! So I traveled back to Mzulft and the Aerodome is stuck. Does this mean we cannot ever see the other spots of "great magic" on the map of Skyrim?

*I killed the guy (Paratus Decimus) who helps you figure out the dome because he was going to tell the "council" about me

Has anyone else gotten it to work?

I don't think so. It was likely only added to the game for that quest, which is a shame. If Bethesda is going to go through all that trouble, why give it such limited functionality?

I agree, it makes me sad I think they could really expand on this! (maybe they will?)

How did you not finish the Aedrome before you got to the Observatory and the Oculory?

No I have finished the Aerodome, I went back AFTER removing the Eye of Magnus from Skyrim. Sicne that was what interfered with it I thought it would work now that it was gone.

Ah. Sorry, I completely misunderstood your point. Apparently, Beth didn't have time, or think it was important, to fix that sort of thing....

Yeah, i think that was one of those things that was never really meant to mean anything other than a cute little quest thing. I doubt Bethesda even thought people would return to the ruin afterward...

Or not.... on some toons I sell it, on others I stuff it in a chest in one of my houses.... I never play a magic-oriented character....

But mostly yes because it remains on Tamriel unless you found a means to unmake the Staff of Magus.

Whether or not the staff is in the possession of the player character, it still exists and thus still disrupts the Aerodome.

It only shows two bright spots: the Eye (at the college) and Labyrinthian. You went to both during the quest, so...

The Synod guy mentions others, but they are not on the map and he never tells you what the spots are, exactly. DLC or TES6 maybe?

You could always drop the staff off in Oblivion, like when Sanguine takes you to his little chunk of it at the end of his quest.

Do you think that would work if you destroyed the Staff?
