Name for Her

Post » Tue Dec 28, 2010 3:21 am

I need a name for a NEUTRAL female character in Fo3 and I went blank. I was thinking of a Greek god or demi-god name, but I couldn't think of any I like. This chick just kinda walks the line, but in a badass way.

Plenty of Greek goddesses to choose from:

Athena: goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavor, handicrafts and reason
Ananke: Goddess of inevitability, compulsion and necessity (my favorite)
Mnemosyne: Goddess of memory and remembrance, and mother of the Nine Muses.

Stuck between Rhea and Artemis. I'll probably go with Rhea.
If I was doing an evil character, I think I would have gone with Nyx, the godess of the night and shadows.

EDIT: Rhea was the godess of fertility.

I'd think that'd depend on you're character. Artemis was thought of to carry a bow and arrows around, so if you were going to make a small gun Neutral character, I'd think Artemis would be best.

though for FO3 I spent awhile to come up with my char's name only to be sorely disappointed by the fact they've never called my character by her name once, felt like it was just my save file name then my characters.

but anyway Athena would work best for what you wanna do with your character.

I named my evil character Hoss, so that when I go to Lock n' Load, Pronto calls me by my name. The game would never be able to process and voice the 6 billion different names that people would come up with. Though it would be cool if it did.

Kirke (or Circe if you want the trendy Latin spelling), a good name for someone with the Black Widow perk
Medea (the greatest Witch ever, 'nuff said).
Nike (once the goddess of victory, now the goddess of shoes and advertising, just do her).
Bendis (Thracian goddess of the moon and the hunt).
Hekate (Goddess of witchcraft, the crossroads, and all who walk between worlds).
Hera (once a powerful sky goddess before the patriarchy reduced her to a scorned housewife).
Medusa (a potent symbol of the crone/destructive side of women's nature, another good Black Widow).

Apathos? (Sounds greek, and being nuetral I guess she'd be kind of apathetic).

Or Nancy...

Depends on how she fights...

Small Guns: Artemis (goddess of the hunt), Annie (Oakley)
Big Guns: Ripley (ever see "Aliens"?)
Melee Weapons: Xena (sword-swinging barbarian prinecess)

Not sure about Energy, Explosives, or Unarmed

I call all my female characters Jane Shepard. It's easier than trying to come up with something new for each game.

Unless it's a fantasy setting then it's either Atarah Sharahzad or Angelique Vedran.
