Name meaning of "Bethesda"

Post » Thu Jul 23, 2015 9:42 am

I wonder what made the creator of Bethesda choose this name? :) Googled a little and found that the name means:

- name of a pool of water in Christian Bible

- a place in Washington.

Or maybe its something else that only the creator of company knows

Trust me, I was just as surprised myself. Had always figured it was named after a person whose last name was Bethesda. :P

I read that this pool in bible was a healing one... so i wondered about that... that maybe it had a special meaning to creator.

Yeah, didnt find a General Board. I saw only Boards for different games. Sorry...

Yep, that's all there is to it. Although back in the late 90s they moved to Rockville, Maryland so they aren't based in Bethesda anymore.

Ah and i thought bethesda being deriven from the gospels until now. also imagined bethesda to be a christian company. made sense with how positively they portrayed christianity in FO3 too. But thanks for clarifying it.
