Name Your Skyrim Character!

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 4:21 am

I always was horrible at names. I usually just make up some stupid, non existent word to use....... maybe I'll be........."inspired" by some of the names here, lol

http://www.gaminggeeks.org/Resources/KateMonk/Europe-Scandinavia/Old-Norse/Names.htm

Skyrim's the land of the Nords. That's a list of common Old Norse name elements, used to build Old Norse names. That's how I came up with mine. Can you guess it's meaning? (If you're stuck it's posted on pg 8 of the forum. :P):

Figured that out like a second before I read your post. :P It is pretty awesome though, think of all the metaphors wrapped into that!

Dunmer assassin named Dram!

No really I don't know yet, but Dram is my favorite TES character & dunmer assassins are usually what I go with on my first playthrough.

I like to do a fantasy variant of my own name, which is Michael. And since my name is often shortened to Mike, I also think up an abbreviation for my new name.

Example:

Marconis and Marco for short.

Migduhr and Mig, etc.

:D

GO PLAY DA2, AND NAME YOUR HAWKE WITH YOUR NAME.

MIKE HAWKE....

get it?

Kebert Xela

Nah but seriously, my main character since 1999 for most RPG's is Thaldren. So I'll be re-making Thaldren the Nord warrior as my first Skyrim character. As for the assassin, thief, mage characters... I haven't decided yet.

Elf-Mage the Overpowers

well he is. after 2 weeks of grinding non-stop training, he is ready to assume his rightful place as the last living thing in Skyrim.

Aquan. Just a little tradition since Morrowind. I swam around the entire island early on.
I played that name in OB and FO3 also.
I play other names also but this will be my first character.
Probably play one named "Bjorc the Cork" eventually.
I usually play Nords or Bosmer in MW & OB. I have used names as uninspired as "Jed" and "Drags". Who cares?

I'm starting too think I might make an Imperial rather than a Nord as my first char. He will be named Alen Culliian if I go for that.

I'm usually pretty uncreative in TES games and both my mains in Morrowind and Oblivion were just called "The Prisoner". At least it gives him a chance to wear the shackles that you start off with in Oblivion :D But I usually end up finding any actual names I choose kinda stoopid xD

Wait... that's the dog's name. I think it'll just be whatever surname I see first on the bookshelf at the time.
