[RELz] Nameless Hairs

Post » Mon Feb 07, 2011 7:24 pm

I really like your hair syles but its giving me issues in the racemenu. I can escape the menu normally
with the stock hairs but when I have one of yours selected I cant close the race menu. I even get
errors in the menu when selecting certain hair designs and a few are totally blotched out...hmmm.
Thanks anyway and don't trouble yourself over it. Peace.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/niftools/files/nifskope/nifskope-1.0.20.4748-windows.exe/download
This programm can open nif-files. Very good tool!

Originals they were in dxt3. Hm. I'll try to see how the textures can look like in dxt5. Thanks for advice, skyedye.

Thank you.

Once the orig where saved at dx3 you will not be able to see any difference in dx5. Only if you have non dds files will you be able to see dx5's alpha channel setting once saved as dx5. Think of it like saving a texture without an alpha channel. You can't reopen the dxt1 and save it as dxt3 and think you'll now see an alpha channel as it was lost once you saved it without. So you'll need to find the orig alpha channel then save in dxt5 for it to work correctly as a dxt5.

I didn't went through all the pages to see if anyone mentioned this. There is a small clipping issue with better heads mod, at the back of the head. I particularly noticed it for the hairstyles that were in the screenshot (without hats), but there may be more.

Other than that, I really like the styles. I've started to play a female character, and I kinda feel that I need to get her the best.. :) If you could take a look at that problem - cool.

Wait I'll post a screenie.
Here - a small piece of flesh is sticking through:

Now I got a error marker as well:

Yes. :) A black bar over the "naughty" parts would be fine though. Although I don't understand why she needs to be topless in the first place.

I was thinking he did it to illustrate how the hair rests on the chest; most of the time clothing/armor interferes with that image...

To be honest, I dont like how they look like, but now I dont know how to fix it. I'm trying to understand some strange magic technique.
