Naming my Orc

Post » Tue Oct 18, 2011 2:05 am

Was wondering if the lore gurus had any suggestions or famous Orcs I could name him after, possible decedent. This is going to be a battle mage type character if that helps.

In general, it's going to be (something) gro/gra (something). Gro for males, gra for females

In addition, orsimer tend to have names that are nearly grunt-ish and savage sounding. First name is their given name, and for last, I'm in the opinion it's either a clan's name or a father's first name.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:How_Orsinium_Passed_to_the_Orcs is the most prominent Orc I could find; he ruled Orsinium.

He was also the orsimer who got ahold of the Numidium and allowed the orcs to be recognized as official citizens of the empire. They've been very thankful to the Imperials since then.

Being fecal elves, why would they alter their naming system to something savage? They are elves. That is reason enough to act regal.

Though if they gained citizenship into the empire by mechanically sauaging bretons to death, in what way would they ever be grateful to the Empire who had no hand in their transition? I don't mean to be a jerk in asking, I'm just asking. You would think that by committing genocide against citizens of the empire that you would incur the wrath of the empire, not the blessing.

well...I dunno. Just that everytime I see an orc's name, it's only a couple syllables at most, and it sounds like you're threatening someone or trying to sound tough.
