I think I'm gonna name it 'Cat' just for the hell of it.
Considering the Dog is an Android be very careful about getting too attached to it. Otherwise how could there possibly be a purebred German Shepard 200 years after the War started?
Its obviously there so the Institute can keep tabs on the player character.
I am hoping to be able to rename him as I cannot see him as 'Dogmeat' anyway. Dogmeat should be an Aussie Blue-heeler and not a German Shepard!
I will always see him as that playful little guy that ran around me if I put the Mad Max leathers in Fallout 1. He knew who his family was.
I still blame Lord Humungus for the Dog's death!
(Also just for a bit of current awareness, the Dog in Mad Max 2 was actually recruited from a Pound and was due to be put down the day after it was found: Very lucky break being cast in Mad Max 2! )
Woofy the wonder dog. not even joking I seriously hope I can fit all the letters XD
You better be able to name it.
Three Dogmeats is well beyond enough...
Hanz should be fine. I believe it was my Great Great Great Grandfather was named Hanz.
Correct spelling in German is Hans. What sounds similar is Heinz.
But anyway.
I'd name mine Brutus or Grim, if given the choice. Nice, strong names. Or Tinkerbell, to mess with Raiders.
Yes the correct spelling is Hans but his name was Hanz with a Z. My half brother's name is Heinz. I was surprised at first when I saw it.
How about Cujo?
I'd still prefer Dogmeat since it brings back many memories.
Sadly, that reference would be lost on many inhabitants of Fallout (and probably readers of this forum, too).
But you need to put a hockey mask on him like the real Cujo aka Curtis Joseph. As far as I know never wore the hockey mask since most goalies have not worn that style of mask for ages.
A hockey player that took on the nick name Cujo based on the book by Stephen King which I read a long time ago back in the mid 80's.
[edit]
I am no Kid unless 42 is a kid.
If you read the book, then you would have gotten the reference here since we're talking about the dog...
I didn't mean it as a literal thing when I said "Kids these days... "
I did get the reference to the book at first. Since I have read it a few times and watched the movie as well.
Thanks for the cake and here have some and .
The only source for that was a guy who was there for the "behind closed doors" interview thing. Todd never says it in the video someone recorded while there...
