I hope a mod comes out to change the dog species. I like German shepherds, don't get me wrong, but nothing says "don't $%&# with me" like a pitbull. Although.. My pitbull, Buck, is a pushover and a pansy afraid of his own shadow..

I'll name him "left behind and completely forgotten." Not a dog person, so I'll stick with Codsworth or human companions. I'd love to have a cat for my house, though...

if new animations are easy to add this time you'll see dozens of different breeds after a couple years.

The dog looks like a 'she' to me, and I'm going to call her Boo if we get to name it.

there is a part of the gameplay trailer where the person playing [probably tom howard] looks at the dog during combat in which it says dogmea... im assuming tom either named him this or its a default name [if you dont believe me just watch... the video ]

Too bad he isn't a little ankle biter. Then I could name him Cujo.

If not in vanilla, pretty sure there'll be a mod to name him (along with cosmetic changes and stuff)
