Naming your weapons!

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 2:35 am

It actually is a nice touch. I loved naming equipment and weapons in the TES games. Simply naming something makes it that much easier to find in your inventory and just coming up with names for weapons is fun in itself.. even if it is a generic and cheesy name like "Flaming Teddy Bear Launcher of Doom" or "Bob's Amazing Pistol of Accuracy"

I now wonder, should I be serious or go full cheese when naming my guns?

I'm going to name one of my snipers Match.com, because it will help me create long distance relationships.

Yea, I just rewatched the vid. Didn't notice before now. Well, that's cool. I'll have to come up with some cool names then.

With games this big.. I find it's best just to go with the mood you're in that day. My characters often seem to have multiple personality disorder. If it's just a 30 hour game.. sure, I can stick to a character archetype.. but for a 400 hour game?.. They are going to have some seriously wacky, messed up days in the mix.

Never gave it much thought since we never got to name weapons before. I might call my Gatling laser for "Lightbringer", but then again "Vengeance" is such a more fitting name. Any ideas for a good name for a overpowered Gatling Laser ?

Weapons modding is perk based and optional. Unique weapons would make sense for those who don't invest in modding.

I cant wait to see improvised melee weapons possibilities. Then, I'll think of a name.

How about an Arnold reference. Something like "We have to gat out of here!" Or you could just call it Chopper due to the crazy dps :)

I think I'll name my 10mm 'gkk7z IDS (Information Delivery System)' It'll be just as swift as you at the delivery of information to whomever it is pointed at -- They'll die informed.

Or we could just throw books at enemies (all items now have full physics...)

We'll make sure to use the hardback cover instead of the paperback. It'll be fine.

"Hey, I've come to teach you a lesson." or even "I want your clothes, your books, and your motorcycle..."

EDIT: removed apostrophe, don't know how that got in there...

And then throw them on a stove! Only AFTER you take the pilot light out of it of coarse.

Could this be the real function of the perk at S9?

"Turn your Grognak collection into hardback editions to throw at your enemies." That wood work.

Or we just use all the ruined books instead and call it "The recycler".

I only have 3.. That'd be a problem! Maybe I can use Charisma to convince the book it is a hardback. Or Science. Whichever.

You could always roll them up together and use them as a melee weapon :starwars:
