Namira's cursed ring... ( to be a Canibbal or not ? )

Post » Thu Feb 28, 2013 7:38 am

Hello fellow Skyrim dwellers ..!
I used to play skyrim a bit from 2011 , i quit and i started to play it again after a long time and i question my self why i bothered to play other games when i have this excellent game..!! , ( i have 60 plus gameplay hours from steam statistics , not enough to see the whole content in my opinion.. )
I completed the main dragon quest by killing the Alduin , i became the archmage of the mage's college ( i am a melee character though ) , i have completed some daedric quests ( i wield the Molag ball mace ) , i wiped out the skooma dealers in Riften and i have some dragonpriests masks ( one i wear from the Alduins last quest ) ..
Ok , my playthrough until now was a bit normal .. I used to play a good ( chaotic one ) character but not strictly so good .. Yesterday when i was exploring the countryside i accidentatly found the cave that i needed to clear from the undead from the quest ( the taste of death ) that i have started a year before when i played skyrim and i didnt remember what was all this about .. Eola was outside waiting me for the quest .. I helped her to clear this place from the draugr and then she told me to bring an inoccent priest to eat him !!! ... i was shocked but i wanted to continue the quest to see where is going to be all this ... I bring the priest from Markath to her party ( bliieeeh ) and as i finished normally the quest i won namiras ring .. but something doesnt work right for me here .. i saved that point and i played again before i kill the priest , i killed everyone there ( eola got her head off her shoulders as my one handed skill is 83 hehehehe ) and i gained 1000 coins from priest .. but the quest is failed on my log .. i kept both saved games and i wanted to ask what have you done in this quest .. should i go on with the ring ( but this will ruin my gameplay .. i dont want to be a cannibal not for once as i have the option not to wear that damn ring .. i dont have problem to be vampire werewolf or whatever but this !!!! NO WAY ) ... or i ll continue without the ring ( i cant get the oblivion walker achievment i think but i dont care ) , .... is that ring important for the future??

You're gonna feed on humans as a werewolf or a vampire. What's the difference if you do so when wearing Namira's ring?

depends on if you/your character are a daedra worshipper... or just like to consumn flesh. Most of my character stay away from daedra quests aside from some like The Cursed Tribe and what not. What I have to ask myself is would eating human flesh gross out my character if they are a werewolf by night? They already eat human flesh... lots of it infact :P

If the nature of your character is good. then no... don't do it.

If you don't want to be a cannibal and don't care about the Oblivion Walker Achievement, don't do the quest. You don't need the ring for anything else.

(Personally, I could never do this quest. I started it once, but killed Eola before going to the cave. Now I avoid it completely since I've heard reports of a random cannibal encounter where you get invited to take a bite, even if you have failed the quest. And no... I'm not very fond of being a werewolf, either.)

Yeah it does n't have any difference .. But as vampire or werewolf i think you are not human anymore .. and i am better with this option ( it sounds a bit silly but i think is more right that way .. ) from my playthrough i avoid to be vampire or werewolf so far , and if i buy the dawnguard dlc i ll propably be a ferocious vampire hunter .. I wanted to know if that ring has a crucial role in future..

I would never do this quest. Those cannibals are pretty depraved as far as I'm concerned and my Vampire character has nothing but contempt and disgust for them. I think the last thing a Vampire would want to do is consume the corpses of the dead. The way I play, Vampires feed on the living.
