You have 48+ hours of play already? Does sunlight burn your skin?

I hit my cap, and I'm tempted, but I'm also .. afraid.
If it resets my modules, like air stomp, back down to level 1, I can't see myself ever using it.
I know it says it resets rank, unlocks and experience.

Has anyone actually done it?
I saw mention on a gamefaqs board that someone did it and LOST their stats, despite it said they would stay. I'm ranked #1 for wins, the only board that isn't cheated at the moment, and would hate to lose my life-consuming place :P

Iono, I'm not sure if its worth it in this game honestly, heh.
So far, the only thing you get is a special skin for weapons is what i hear.. Is that worth it?

Well, that's my problem. It's all hearsay. I enjoy playing if I can get on a server that ISN'T filled with cheating script kiddies. And doesn't lag from orbital cannons. And saves my stats. And isn't lagging, based in europe, or some other country I've never heard of...

But I digress, I'd like to know for sure but I'm hesitant to be the community guinnea-pig. I've done that enough times in my gaming life.

Well, I decided to be careful before doing it, and I tried contacting EA support.
They advised me against using the nanosuit reboot. THey warned me it could erase all my stats at this time, and I should wait.
So... that's kinda unnerving.

Well I imagine it's supposed to allow you to reset your basic suit stuff, like rank and experience, but NOT erase your statistics. I just have a feeling that's not what it's going to actually do. And EA pretty much confirmed I shouldn't use it yet. I wish one of the Cry guys would say something.
There's no information about this anywhere that I can find.

With how unstable the networking is right now I wouldn't do it quite yet.
Just be happy you got to 50, I can't get past 12, lol.

It resets EVERYTHING. Stats, modules, challenges, skill kills, wins, everything. I had close to 4k kills, right back to 0. Tons of wins in Crash site, assault, and extraction, gone. You get CELL weapon camo and a dog tag called born again, plus a unique set of challenges called "nanosuit reboot." That's all.

The moral of the story being: don't bother doing challenges if you plan to reboot.

Service record stats should be untouched by Nanosuit reboot if its working properly. Hopefully this issue will be fixed before I hit rank 50 as I am planning on doing the suit reboot.

Yeah that was my concern. I'm ranked #1 for wins and I don't want to reboot myself off the ladder. It's the only one that isn't full of cheaters at the moment.

Thanks for the info guys.

Edit: No one happens to know if it locks all of your dog tags too, does it?

Dog tags stay. However if you were working on a challenge that has a dog tag for it (weapons for example) you have to start over as the challenge resets.

Do you get the C.EL.L. skin for each gun? or just the scar?

Perhaps you're the number one in wins, but what if they open Special Leaderboards for People who nano rebooted? you would need to win a lot to catch up :)

Thanks a lot jfish, I really appreciate your information.

BlackOp, good question, I wish I knew. Maybe jfish can grace us with his answers.

Xtactic, you need to hit rank 50, then max out 50. It's like "rank 51". It's in Operative Status at the bottom below Clan Tag after you unlock it.

Mastergiux, while that would be interesting, I sincerely doubt it's even remotely accurate. They've done nothing so far, or in the history of their games, to imply they would do that. I tend to work on whats available. To this point, Crytek has behaved exactly like every other major game developer. They avoid admitting issues because admission of guilt is "worse" than not commenting. Particularly if you have no plan to fix whatever it is that is broken.

I would very much like to believe in Crytek, but I played more than enough nuke-firing-SCAR Crysis/Cry Wars to keep my head down.

Also, my steam did a fast update and now I have a CELL skin for my Feline, but I have not rebooted. I like the CELL skin, but uh...
My confusion rises.

You get the cell camo for a bunch of guns, except the SCARAB. But I've been hearing if you reboot multiple times you eventually will get camo for it though.

It can be a good thing, if your kdr is mediocre. I don't care about rankings, so I will do it

Hey everyone, I'm 26th in the world on the leaderboards (Kills) and 99th in wins.. (No I don't boost) and I just made it to level 50. If I "reboot" or prestige will it reset my leaderboard stats? Can anyone give me a detailed explaination of what rebooting does?
Thank you in advance.

It will reset everything you have except for xp and dogtags. But it will give you the C.E.L.L camo for two of your guns.
