It's been 24 years since the events of crysis 2, CELL was able to pull out the N2 within at least 3 years of the first Nanosuit (not including the prototype and the N 1.5's). The novel even mentions the existance of a Nanosuit 2.2. Surely Crynet must have made a new iteration by then, especially with the treasure trove of ceph tech laying around....

Maybe after the failure of plans for Cell, they abandoned the program of the nano-suit

Yeah I doubt they would give a prisoner a new Nano Shell, they probably couldn't remove it without killing the operator... syringes are the way forward XD

All i know is that the game will be released in a year! so lets not speculate things,there are just rumours we will hace to wait.

The way I see it, Prophet was originally supposed to be controlled by Hargreave. However, he failed, and Alcatraz was put in the nanosuit. Because of this, it is possible the wearer of the nanosuit can overcome his superiors, making them unable to control such a being. That may be why they did not create a new one.

I'm well aware that the N2 is fused to Big Al/Prophet and that after 24 years he most certainly looks the same on the inside of the suit as the outside making it utterly irremovable.

What I had in mind was CryNet making a N3 and giving it to someone else (within the company) to hunt down Big Al. What better than knowing there is someone out there with a bigger and better suit than you and well being able to kick your ass. Would make a superb foe to duke out with throughout the game.

I can't see a N3 being produced. With the N2 evolving, it would be more likely to see a more mass produced model. The USMC and CELL nanosuits in C2 MP are deemed to be N2 suits, so it is plausible they are now mass producing them to a degree, while no doubt inferior to the original model, more than capable with the data collected to combat the Ceph.

I second m4dn3ss: I really hope we're gonna get intense combat against slightly weaker NanoSuits such as the CELL Nanosuit N1.5 (Crysis 2 Multiplayer) or the Korean NanoSuit N1.1.

Gotta wonder what the hell Psycho is wearing though.

I think it could be a N3.0 or N2.0 upgraded as we saw how you can upgrade your suit through Nano Catalysts, guess we are gonna have to wait.

Maybe Psycho was captured by cell at some point in the 24 year period and hes been prototyping newer versions some where else. He then found out about Alcatraz and broke him out, after stealing another suit and gave it to him!

I think that like before, it is an idea to make another nanosuit, but you gotta remember 2 things:
1: Most if not all of the nanosuit data and or prototypes were on Hargreave's island
2: If they put someone else in a nanosuit 3 or so, it would be all too easy for that person to rebel/carry out their own agenda and no one could stop him, unless it was the leader of the group who is using it.

I think that it is viable for them to use weaker nanosuits than Prophet's, and since his nanosuit evolved, maybe Psycho's did too. It's also possible that an upgrade could be installed into a nanosuit from the outside, like new pieces of nanosuit just stuck over the old one, and it breaks down the old one and implements its parts into the newer upgraded version.

I am in love with this idea. It would make us think a lot more about how to exploit the new suits weaknesses so we could fight it, and then make us try to avoid the weaknesses of the N2. Loving this idea! But I would tweak this a little bit, in the sense that we should get the Nanosuit 3.0, seeing as we're the protagonist, because otherwise people would be bummed that they didn't get anything new to use. But, along with Spooky's idea, I think that someone should get a hold of a Nanosuit 2 or 1, and then they severely modify it and turn it against Prophet, kind of like an evil War Machine to Iron Man? See what I'm saying?
