Natal Use

If it was optional and you could play the game without Kinect, then I guess it could be used for a couple of mini games.

Maybe character creation, use Kinect to try and make your character look more like you or something, assuming the engine could actually do that.

If they won't bother to take the time to give the PC its own pc optimized UI, they're also not going to take the time to code in console exclusive gimmicks. :P

A PC with voice recognition software + something like a high-res Kinect might work for adventure games and possibly for everything else "die-hard" fans of the technology would put themselves through.

I think that Kinect could be used to augment a controller while playing Skyrim. I would love to be able to use voice recognition to assign words to my spells and then just say the words to cast. There are a lot of "neat" little things that could be done to support the Kinect, but using it as full fledged controller, I think, would be taking it too far.

I will laugh if such a thing happens and pity those who play on the consoles whilst I enjoy my PC game.
Though I highly doubt it will.

Even if this was a good idea (it's not), They wouldn't be able to implement it in a few months.

Natal looks cool, but it's still in its baby stages. Give Natal 10 more years development and it might be acceptable in a TES game, maybe TESVI or TESVII.
I still would like to be able to see myself actually slip my limbs into my clothing and armor, as opposed to just dragging and dropping. But technology isn't that advanced yet in any game anywhere.... not even in Japan... I don't think. I dunno, those Japanese are a lot more advanced than Americans though.

TESVI... In ten years? :'( And it Kinect, not Natal.
Edit: Yes, it was a double post.... DONT JUDGE ME!

I don't think it's going to be used.

I don't want it to be used.

And I think it should be used in "other", as in, it should not be [censored] used.

WTF? I swore I posted this in Crosby's Kinect thread! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Damn Dirty Necromancer! You can't just go around reviving threads! This is why you were expelled from the mages guild!

I think KINECT should go away in general...

Well, considering it's sold over seven million units so far I don't see it going anywhere....

It connects to an http://www.xbox.com/en-US/kinect.

Google FTW.

No! It "Kinects" get it? Ha! :shakehead:

I don't know. It would be really cool to swing your sword and block with your shield :D A sword and shield should come with the kinect version of the game hehe

I don't think Kinect or Move will ever be utilized for serious games. It would be too much for developers to work around.

Wrong...there's a lot of collaboration between the video game industry and the movie industry these days, which helps to make this idea possible (how? they implement their content in each other)...video game developers are already stepping in this direction. Most people aren't ready to accept the use of technology in such ways as this, but they will be. Its just not practical at the time, or is it?

Psst... it's the Kinect now.

No.
No.
Not gonna be used.

We need a hardcoe game to work with the Kinect before I see the Elder Scrolls with it. I'll probably get the possibly Kinect-enabled Gears of War pack when it comes out.

No! OH GOD NO!

But seriously, Kinect should stay the hell away from the Elder Scrolls.

I completely agree with this.

Kinect shouldn't be used for any core game play but if it gets more sophisticated in later models then I think it would be cool to have aspects of the game utilize kinect. Wouldn't it be cool if it could scan your face and make your character look like you do. Or what if you could talk to npcs with it. Obviously it wont be in skyrim but in a later ES game I would be find with it as long as it didn't go to far.

I think it should be thrown away, or not bought in the first place. I wouldn't use one if someone gave it to me for free.
