Description

First, there was nothing - An unending void, an ether that was blacker than the darkest mind's darkest dream in black and white. Then, there was shadeMe ( and to an insignificant extent, InsanitySorrow ).

shadeMe conceived the most colorful, brilliant, exquisite, ravishing, gorgeous, splendiferous loading screens there were. They were the epitome of beauty; the most delectable of all that existed. They were unmatched in their grandeur; immaculate, banishing the omnipresent darkness with just their presence. But it was not to last for He soon discovered the Construction Set, which bewitched and left Him harebrained. This terrible quandary would have continued to exist perpetually if it weren't for InsanitySorrow's courage.

Taking pity in shadeMe's plight, he took a deep breath and agreed to His[shadeMe's] request to create a plugin for the loading screens, which would include loading text as well. The heavens shook as the ensuing shock snapped shadeMe out of His delusion, freeing Him from the clutches of the malevolent Construction Set.

Things returned to normal soon after – He read the bible, created the world, gave birth to Todd and released the mod. All was well.



Fine Print

Natural Selection is a loading screen addon for trollf's Loading Screen Themed replacer. It adds over 500 scenic loading screens that blend right in with trollf's. Natural Selection covers many realms and landscapes, mod-added and otherwise ( incl. the Shivering Isles ).

The plugin contains loading text comprising quotes from the game's literature, dialog and manual.



Compatibility

This mod is compatible with every mod there is.

Might take awhile - My connection is sluggish at the moment.

Mods I used - I seriously can't remember. I made these screens over a year ago. They've been in my HDD all this while, until IS agreed to create the plugin. I remember using OOO, MMM and Fran's though. The DLCs and SI. A lot of quest mods ( Lost Spires, Dremora Companion ). All the unique landscape mods that existed then. Some more. I used to have a list ...

Nevermind, I just switched to the "normal" DarN UI version again. Just for this mod.

? How is this going to work with Trollf other loading screens..

will the esp from trollf loading screen addon need to be updated to include these changes..?

I am using the Loading Screen Addon+Base+SI Plugin? and Darn UI?

I think the DarN UI version is for those who are not using trollf's loading screen replacer.

Maybe I could be wrong.

Just activate the ESP and get the best of both worlds.

The xml files are just copies of those found in trollf's and DarN UI's packages. You don't actually need those any way. The OMOD options are for the loading menu - Selecting trollf's will give trollf's version, DarN DarN's.

I've been using Atmospheric Loading screens and want to switch to LSTR but a little lost.

I made a bain package integrating LSTR into Dark UI Darn 160 (making sure to use the right xml file).

That is not my concern. My concern is which of these esp should I use and how should they be tagged?

[edit] oh wait I see an immediate issue - none of these are Darkened while all the above are. Hmmm - may hold off on this.

I don't know about Bash becuase I don't use it, but I can say that you don't need anything else to use this mod. You can use it standalone or with Trollf's loading screen packs , but no requirements for it.

Those look beautiful, will have to remember this mod for when I return to Oblivion next time.

Nope. A loading screen replacer is recommemded. Without one, you'll be seeing vanilla loading screens in b'ween NS'.


IIRC, trollf provided merged versions of the plugin with his addon packs. You'll need to pick the LoadingScreens+Addon+SI esp.



Yes. Load order doesn't matter - Just put it with LoadingScreens.esp.
