Natural Wood Bows

Nice bunch of models/textures there! I'll divulge however, that all those NPC's outside of Weye are incredibly laggy (My PC isn't low end either), any chance of placing them around in camps all over Cyrodiil?

So hi Brash, you recently helped me fix my BSOD issue when installing my GOTY edition and I clicked on your realistic wooden bows link. that stuff is amazing. It says test version though when I go to the link. Is the mod not finished? I read a lot of this thread about it, too, which only served to get me more hyped. I was thinking of adding OOO to my game, and then saw that your content might be added to it. can you give me updates? your stuff is really cool looking, and I'd love for it to be one of my first mod adds.

Colin

PS- thanks again for helping me get my game up and running. My Ranger thanks you

Hi, Colin_man. Brash isn't playing Oblivion at the moment which means she isn't modding either. Brash is a 'process' person, rather than a 'goal' person and for that reason a lot of what she does is labeled 'Beta', simply because she likes that feeling of open-endedness the word implies. She's sleeping now so I can't ask her if she has truly finished working on it but I suspect that if I did she would say yes.

When she wakes up I may try to persuade Brash to give the mod a version 1.0 label and put it up on PES. A lot of people are wary of playing a mod if it's labeled 'Beta' and Wood Bows and Leather Armor deserves a wider audience.

oh, thank you very much. I was almost sure that, as my post was the first in a looong time on here that it might not reach anyone. Glad to see that I was mistaken.

Oh, lovely fate.:)
Yesterday night I attempted to move the camp to a more subtle place and polish it a bit.
Only to end in a irritated groan...

This is such a lovely mod which deserves polishment and a full release,
I hope you can persuade her to give it that:).

artfact. as I said before, version 1.0 it will be the same as what is available now. The differences will be strictly cosmetic, purely a matter of removing the word "beta" and adding "Version 1.0" in its place. Anyone who wants to wait for that is welcome to but if it were me I would go ahead and play the mod now.

Really good work. Great to see innovative stuff like this come to life. Where can I find this stuff in-game?

The bad news is, I am a longtime addict of Asheron's Call, which I played like daily for three solid years or so. Left in 2002 and discovered Morrowind, then Pseron    and for nearly five years, I was able to resist the siren's call of those purple portals. Alas, I recently stumbled through them again, after discovering http://trial.ac.turbine.com/ then finding my old accounts were salvageable despite half a decade's absence. Frankly I am not sure when I will be returning to Cyrodiil. It may not be till I get Dereth out of my system again, which doesn't look to be happening soon.
The good news is, that day will never ever ever come as the only thing I am more addicted to than RPGs, is my beloved Poopsie Darling    You are stuck with me for life.

Going to update this mod soon?

Pseron said it best (and he would know).
Please allow Brash her time to do what she wishes.
I admire her for all her time spent in the Hardware & Software section of these forums selflessly helping others to be able to enjoy their game. Least we could do is show her the same respect, and thank her for the releases she was nice enough to share with us all.
(sorry, but I felt that needed to be said).

From the first post:

EDIT: I forgot to say, the archers now have a camp just past Weye, easy to get to for beginning characters. If this is a location likely to conflict with other more major mods, let me know as it would be easy to move them, but I like that spot because it is just outside IC gates and easy for starting characters to get to right away.

EDIT2: Location will be moving a bit further out due to conflict with the Weye Village mod. Possibly to the fields surrounding Fort Nikel. (just a few hundred meters further out)

There is also a cheat mentioned in the OP for those that don't wish to pay for the items. I believe reading the OP, and the readme will answer all your questions. :)

Thread necromancy?

:)

If ever a project deserved it, its this one. Brash's work is top notch.
:tops:

edit for clarity's sake: this is not a nudge trying to get Brash to work on the mod. Its an expression of gratitude for the excellent mod that already exists.

I read that part in the first post. It does not say the archers camp in Weye sells the items, however I did assume they did. What is the OP?

I believe the reading the readme would help to, if there was one included? Brash has said she forgot to include a readme in her first post.

Thanks.

What is the OP?
If referring to the thread as a whole, "OP" stands for "Original Post" (post #1 which initiates the thread); if referring to a poster in the thread, it stands for "Original Poster" (if you can't be bothered to go back to the beginning, especially of a hijacked multi-page thread, and find the nick(name) of the thread's starter).

Copy/paste Meshes, Textures and .esp into your Data folder. Click 'Yes' when Windows asks if you want to overwrite. Nothing will be lost when you do this. The mod will merely add new files.
