Nature's Calling

As Altas shook Dro's hand it tickled his hand and reminded him of when he roamed through clearings and fields as Talis with similar furry paws. "Well I've noticed that most of the druids coming here don't even know that they are druids. So, tell me a little about your past Dro. If I may call you that?"

OCC: Pandar, is Kynareth ever going to "Speak" or is this just a ruse, because you dont have a story line to follow yet? Everyone's character is near the Great Tree, so what are you waiting for?

ooc: maybe he has a life and isn't online and will do something when he gets back and is allowing time for character interaction.

He looked at the young male. "I would prefer to be called Shanji. And as for my past? Its nothing special. Born and raised in a Monastary on the Elsweyr border to Cyrodill and brought up as a Warrior monk. My druidic abilities were also taught to me by the residents there. Anything you would particularly want to know?" he asked friendly like.

"Hmm... not anything I can think of. Good to meet you Shanji." He seems more friendlier than the others. "Well the suns already setting." Altas look over at the sun, which was dissappearing behind trees. "I'm going to go find a soft place to rest for the night." Altas walked off and lay down a couple yards from where he just was. As he closed his eyes and drifted off, letting sleep take ahold of him, he dreamed of roaming through fields as Talis and teasing other small animals...

"Whoa". Felicity gazed in awe, just as she had barely managed to duck in time, at the accuracy and speed with which the shot had been fired. 'It doesn't appear she needs my help' Felicity questioned the woman standing in front of her, feeling powerless compared to the people around her.. Nevertheless, it would help if the men were at least distracted.

She leapt back a little way from Jackie, transforming, as she had done minutes earlier, into her Falcon form. She shot straight at another Nord, flapping her wings and generally irritating the slow and inaccurate bandit. Avoiding all swings from his giant axe, and giving Jackie some time to focus on the third..

Darting in and out, it was clear that the Nord stood no chance of hitting the nimble bird, but there was always a chance. Fliss flew up, soaring as high as she could, before pivoting her body and shooting towards the floor at groundbreaking speeds. It felt good, she outstretched her talons, focusing them on the Nords confused face, and slam. Blood spouted from the gaping whole in the Nords face, he collapsed onto one knee, feeling his face and screaming in agony. Felicitys' job was done and she glided back to Jackie's side.

OOC: Sigh.. I thought I could give time for some character interaction in the RP, but it seems that there are some impatience going on, and flame tells were sent saying the msg "HTFU, AND MOVE THE RP ON!" due to the fkin' demand, Kynareth's msg is gonna be heard on the next page. Yeh, max, I do have a friggin' story to follow, as I said before, I thought I could give time for character interaction, good RPs aren't rushed, if some of you've seen Adeth's RP 'End of an Era' (EDIT: got his RP's name wrong <_<) or Illusionary's RP 'Blood of the Ancients' in the past, you could see character development in those RPs were strong, I'm sure there's other RPs alike, but they're just two prime examples.

If I didn't have a story or plot to follow, then I wouldn't have posted up this friggin' RP yet, and to the rest of you fellas, cheers for having the patience, some of you were probably restless perhaps, but you endured, you joined and you'll go as follows, if not... yeh. We all do have lives too, the world doesn't revolve around you... wall of text ftl...

IC:
"Listen, Shen... this is a bit much for me, and I'm sure she's got a bit of a culture shock as well from it." Her voice was gentle and considerate. "We'll just be at a stream a yard or two west of here, just shrubbery and a few trees between us and the edge of the glade. We'll be within calling distance, I promise you. I just need the peace to think on things, and she likely does as well. Leave us ladies to our heart-to-heart; you wouldn't understand it."

"I understand JT, it would be a shock to discover who your ancestry roots were, afterall I'm sure your shocked yourself. I just hope during your time with each other, you'll realize who you both are." Shen said, as they both left for JT's destination, "But, just be aware Kynareth's voice maybe heard at anytime, so come here as soon as possible, when it's heard!" Giving off his last message, and let them off to their destination.

Shen then headed towards Shanji and greeted him once more, "Hail, sorry to assume you were one Hircine's servants, no hard feelings yeh?" he asked.

Jackie was about to fire at the claymore wielder, but heard a scream to one side and say Felicity's bird form clawing at the face of the Nord with a battle-axe. Her bow swiveled and she fired, taking the collapsed Nord in the upper chest and punching through his sternum with her arrow.

This cost her however, and she had to leap frantically to one side as the claymore came from above to cleave her into halves. It failed to do so, narrowly missing the target. But Jackie was too close now to use her bow. Not in time. As she got up one hand moved to her hunting knife, removing it from her waist.

She ducked elegantly as the sword sung across where her chest should have been, and moved forward, tackling the man at the hip and sending him stumbling backwards with her. However, she had trouble toppling the Imperial, and he kicked her off to the ground and raised his claymore above her dazed head, ready to end her life.

Felicity could see the action unfold in front of her very tearful eyes, the tall brute of an Imperial stood over her friend, and she had no idea of how too help. In a hopeless attempt she tried to remain calm, focusing all her energy into her now, outstretched hand. Her palm was open, facing the Imperial. She pushed again, but the Magicka wouldn't come, focusing. He brought the sword down, hard and fast, Felicity feared the worst and with one last strain turned her head in disappear.

It shot from her palm, a vine like beam, coiling itself around the giant claymore. Felicity could feel her connection with the sword and she tugged her hand back into her chest, pulling the sword into the ground next to the helpless Jackie.

She shot another, more violent beam from her right palm, aiming straight at the Bandit. It connected throwing the Bandit backwards away from Jackie, and his coiled sword which was still half buried in the earth. Still using the vine, Felicity lifted the sword from the ground, laying it gently next too Jackie.. The vine dissolved as fast as it had shot from her hand and Felicity, fell back to the hard ground, exhausted but alive.

The fate of the last Bandit was up too her friend.

OOC short I know :(

IC
Ben's charge was short lived, the imperial woman seemed to be extremly capable and the shorter one, who he assumed was a wood elf, had fantastic magical abilities. He'd stopped, metres away, completely stunned as the wood elf girl transformed
I've never seen anything like that before... is it even possible?
He started forwards again as the final bandit came close to hurting the imperial, he was too far away however and he feared for her life. Again his intended help was totally unecessary as the bandit was disarmed and thrown by the wood elf. The battle was fairly over and so he recommenced his approach, moving slowly and holding up a hand, trying to make himself seem unthreatening, these two were competant and he didn't want to be on the end of their next attack because of a misconception.

Her stomach burned, the capillaries of her gut being burst into bruises by the impact of an armored knee to her leathered stomach. While the leather had indeed served to take some brunt, it was better against stabbings and pointy things than large surface area impacts. The wind was almost knocked out of her, and she lay on the ground in a daze, a fish gasping for breath above the life-sustaining waters. Her dark eyes watched the claymore raise, and felt a mixture of doom and hope Sheela would rescue her.

However, while Sheela indeed turned with an enraged neigh to the bandit, it was a mystical thread of energy that saved her from impending doom. It lashed the massive blade from the Imperial's hands, before catapulting him from her field of view with a cry of surprised pain. Jackie's breath began anew in a pant as she felt the wind displaced by the dropped claymore, and the soft fluff of dirt it created. Her hand moved to the blade handle, and she rolled with a groan onto her knees above the sword. Picking herself up, she dragged the claymore out from under her legs, using it as a crutch to regain her footing and look to the bandit. For now, her savior was unimportant. Threats first, questions later.

Inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply, she lifted her head back and tossed her hair from her face, both hands wrapping around the leather binding of the sword grip. She was getting steadier noticeably as she approached the Bandit, dragging the claymore at her side. She stopped in front of him as he was moving to get up. Outlaw and Forester locked eyes, she painstakingly raised the claymore over her head.

It came crashing down and hit dirt as the bandit tried to save himself and leaped to the side, rolling to his feet. Only to have cold steel bite into his hip, as Jackie had swung the blade skyward from the ground in a spin. The momentum of the swing was the force behind it, knocking the man to the ground and sending the sword out of Jackie's grasp. She panted from the effort as he groaned and tried to move. A hand drew the bow, another the arrow, the same pulled that arrow back and released. He was dead before he was on his back.

The man with the staff moved, alerting Sheela -who had otherwise been focused on coming to Jackie's aid if required- to his actions and sending the mare into a rearing snarl at him. Jackie likewise threatened, raising her bow and the same arrow she'd just used, newly pulled from a corpse and bloody. Felicity seemed out cold.

"You haven't attacked us yet. Are you with these men?"

OCC: I'm sorry guys, I was a little tipsy last night (To many Pale Ale's), and I got on and was a jerk, I'm sorry for what I said. I know I've been a little pushy in the past, but this was not what I intened.

IC:

Drisk walked into the forest and began to exsplore the forrest around the Great Tree. The forest was dark and not what it would seem. Something was obviously wrong with the area. Drisk could only think that the curse that Hircine had placed apon the Great Tree, was causing the dark and dreary look. The sudden sound of men speaking amoungst each-other hit drisk's ears. The voice's seemed to be coming from the west of the Great Tree.

Who would dare enter into the realm of Kynareth?, drisk thought as he pulled his Ebony Bow from his back, placing an arrow onto the bow string.

As Drisk approached, the sound of men laughing and cheering grew louder. Drisk could see one of the men, he looked like some inbred swine? the others drisk could not see their faces. Drisk hopped into a nearby tree to get a better look at the men. It seemed like there was four of them in leather armor. Drisk could easily pierce threw them. Drisk held up his bow as be began to aim it at the inbred swine who was standing around and talking to himself it looked like.

The arrow flew straight and true, as it pierced the heart of the man. The man fell to the ground lifeless while his friends all jumped up and looked around, but could see nothing. Drisk reached for another arrow while the three men looked around and another checked on their dead friend...

Altas awoke by the faint sound of more metal clinking. He had always been a light sleeper. Obviously no one else heard the sound because they were talking and lounging around. He got up and tried to listen more intently. "I'm going to go get a snack." he said out loud, making up an excuse. Hmm, Drisk is gone now too. He walked for a couple minutes until he heard men scrambling around, he got behind a tree and peaked around it only to see one man lying dead in a pool of blood and about three others looking around. He heard a slight rustle in a tree and looked up. Drisk was crouched low on a branch, aiming at one of the men. Altas thought quickly and backed away from the tree. He jumped forward, and in a great flash of light transformed into a huge, golden lion, the size of an average man. The men looked at Altas, who was now Talis, in his lion form and a frightened look came across their face. Talis bound forward and landed in front of one of the men and let out a terrifying roar, that echoed through the forrest and shook the ground beneath them. The men screamed and ran as fast as they could away from Talis. Talis let them go and looked back at Drisk in the tree. He communicated telepathically to Drisk: "Who were they?"

Ben stopped as the Imperial ruthlessly finished off the the bandit, the sight sickened him slightly, a feeling which grew as the arrow was ripped out of the man's chest and pointed at his own.

"You haven't attacked us yet. Are you with these men?"

Ben was lost for words, and stood there for a second or so, excruciatingly aware of the bloody point centered on him. He could almost feel the Imperial's gaze centering on his chest as she aimed, just on his heart. Rubbing the spot nervously Ben began to stutter an answer;
"What?... I err, no?"
Ben stopped, distracted as the fortification spell began to wear off. He adjusted his stance, taking a little time to get into a position where he could lean comfortably on the staff. He used to the time to think and to order a response so that when he started talking again he spoke more confidantly;
"No, I'm not with them, I was on a walk through the forest when I happened upon the fight, I would have helped but you dispatched those men so fast... You didn't have to kill that last one you know... he was helpless."
Ben knew it was a half truth and he scratched behind his ear as he talked, it was a habit of his that betrayed when he was telling lies. He hoped the woman wouldn't see through him, he didn't fancy explaining that he had been summoned here by Kynareth for unknown purposes. It was an unlikely story, even to his own ears.

Jackie looked at the man for a moment, noting how he seemed to sag as he spoke. Sheela also watched with keen, intelligent eyes, before she nodded her head. Kin. Again that soft, barely audible whisper in her mind that echoed like a muffled gong. Shen... Shen had said that could be animals talking. Could Sheela just have-?

Jackie shoved this speculation from her mind as he spoke of helplessness for a bandit. Curling the corner of her lip into a smile, she removed the arrow, casually spun it on her finger, and put it away, along with her bow. "Yes, I did. I was helpless too, but he would have killed me. He is also an outlaw; it is my duty to eliminate the lawless when I find them. Name's Jacquelyn, and I'm a Forester." Jackie moved towards Felicity as she spoke, kneeling next to the woman with a smile and rubbing her arm.

"You did good Felicity. You did good." She murmured, before looking up at the man again. "So, who are you and why are you here?" She asked with a smile. "And no story is too outlandish for me right now, I've seen quite a bit in the last few hours."

Drisk ingorned Altas' question and began to chase the three men, who had left their friend behind. Drisk suddenly stopped as he spotted one trying to run across the tree line. Once again the arrow flew straight and true, this time the arrow hit the man in the ribs. The man fell in agony as drisk pulled his ebony sword and placed his bow onto his back.

The man cried out to his friends for help, but was suddenly kicked unconcious by drisk. Drisk knew these men were bad. Just the sight of them discusted him. He dragged the man back to the dead man, and layed him against a fallen tree.

Drisk slapped the man for a moment, before he awoke.

"Wha... Waht... Whats going on?", the man held his head in pain and his ribs. The arrow was still stuck in the mans side. Drisk looked at the man for a moment, and then grabbed the end of the arrow. With a quick pull, the arrow came out. The man screamed in aggony as the arrow pulled out some flesh and other pieces of him as well.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?", drisk asked looking at the man intently. The man held his ribs as he tried to quiet down. The man would'nt talk. "I'll ask you again. Who are you?", the man just sat their slumped over to one side, wincing in pain.

"WHO ARE YOU!", drisk yelled at the man. The man would not speak, so drisk placed the tip of his sword onto the mans throat, "WHO ARE YOU. WHO DO YOU WORK FOR?", drisk pressed the tip of the sword into the mans throat, before the man began to speak.

"I'am a logger from Hammerfell. Me and my friends were send to find a man named Drisk Ever-leaf. And I think I've found him!", the man winced at the pain as he looked at drisk with a sturn look, "You got those weapons from your former employer did'nt you!", drisk looked at the man for a moment stunned.

"He was not my employer, just a man I killed for profit.", the man looked at drisk still holding the sturn look on his face.

"We've been looking for you for a very long time Drisk Ever-leaf. Mr. Maun-foo would be pleased to see you again!", drisk looked at the man pressing the tip even harder.

"I killed Maun-foo. How do you think I got these weapons?", drisk leaned towards the man realizing that the man had begun to bleed prefusely. The man looked down at his injury, and began to laugh.

"Mr. Maun-foo will be pleased to hear that you are still alive. He will send more to find you.", drisk looked at the man, he was tired of his hollow threats. Drisk quickly without even blinking, drove the blade into the mans throat. Blood sprayed everywhere.

Drisk looked at Altas with a sturn look, "You tell none of the Druids, of what happened here!", drisk spoke a few words, and the blood was gone from his clothing and his face. Drisk walked back to the Great Tree tired and curious...

OOC:*sigh* Mad Max my chars name is Altas, with an 's'. And in his lion form he is called Talis. (but you didn't know he was called Talis in his lion form so that part is not your fault)

IC: Talis looked at Drisk who started to walk back to the Great Tree, Talis communicated telepathically to Drisk again, "STOP! Do you not think they will have heard my roar? You can't just act like nothing happened here." Talis jumped over Drisk and landed right in front of him. He shook his heavy mane. "They are probably on their way right now." he said telepathically and stared at Drisk with his huge eyes while awaiting an answer.

OCC: Sorry I was in a rush to finish it. I fixed it though.

Drisk looked at Altas for a moment, he was angry and was in no mood to hear some complaints. The lion which stood before him did not faze drisk, as he passed by.

"I will act like nothing happened here. If you want some real world exsperience, then you have to learn one thing. Dont look back. If anyone asks you lie and tell them that something happened other than what really happened", drisk walked away back to the Great tree. He sat against the Great Tree and rested. He looked around, as he saw the druids talking to each-other.

"How could Maun-foo still be alive... It isnt possible?", drisk muttered to himself. He thought of what would happen if Maun-foo and his weasel's found him...

"Yes, I did. I was helpless too, but he would have killed me. He is also an outlaw; it is my duty to eliminate the lawless when I find them. Name's Jacquelyn, and I'm a Forester."

Ben frowned at Jacquelyn's response and he couldn't help thinking in response
yes, but you're supposed to be better than those you protect us from
He kept the thought to himself however, feeling that his new aquaintance would be ill disposed to his views. Jacquelyn knelt down to see to the other girl whose name he didn't yet know, it seemed to take an age and Ben leant ever more heavily on his staff as his leg grew weaker and the spell finally wore off. He hated this bit, it always felt like he was aging at speed as his body slowly lost its usefulness, he felt a familiar awkwardness because, as always, he'd grown used to the magical support. Jacquelyn turned her attention back to him and he was dissapointed as she asked

"So, who are you and why are you here? And no story is too outlandish for me right now, I've seen quite a bit in the last few hours."

Ben began talking without thinking;
"What I told..."
He stopped, abruptly realising that denial wouldn't help him.
She doesn't believe me, He thought Oh bugger. Should I explain? It almost sounds like she already know...
Sighing he restarted;
"Fine, believe it or not I was called to this area a few days ago, by the disembodied voice of Kynareth. I don't really know why yet but it seemed urgent... Its crazy I know, but true."
He paused for a second before realising he'd forgot an introduction, smiling sheepishly he said;
"Oh! I nearly forgot, Its good to meet you Jacquelyn, I'm Benedictus Luther, a priest from a small village not far from here... Please call me Ben however."

OOC: Well the legion is apparently not that popular :P

IC: Jacquelyn smiled at Ben, though the smile was short-lived as she saw him lean ever more on his cane, as if about to fall. She rose after rubbing Felicity's arm reassuringly, approaching the man. "I have over the years found myself unable to believe a man when he says he was just purposelessly walking about a forest. I'm more inclined to trust your story of Kynareth than aimless wandering. Especially considering your leg's condition." Jackie nodded at his leg as she came closer and held out a hand. "Want to use Sheela for support?"

"As to Kynareth... I do believe you, and likewise find it hard to believe. I apparently am here for the same reason. I'll tell you before Shen does; this is apparently a sign that you are a Druid. I am still incredulous as to this claim myself." She brushed her hair back behind her ear.

Talis morphed back into Altas. He then hurried after Drisk. "So then what will I tell them if they ask what that huge roar was about? What kind of druid are you? I heard what you said. Are you some kind of assassin? Tell me now. I want answers or I will tell the other druids." Altas stepped in front of Drisk, stopping him from going any further.

OOC: Just to be more realistic, to FC4, arathorn and mr.pigeon, you might be wondering what the roar was too? It's not too late to add that in. Maybe you will hear it in your next post? Just a thought, trying to be more realistic. ;)

Felicity awoke with a soft groan; she knew she was safe, for she trusted in the ability of her new Imperial comrade. Sitting up, she noticed Jackie by her side, but Jackie's' focus was not on her. A man, 'the man from earlier?' she wondered to herself. Felicity had caught a glimpse of him before, drinking from the river, and preparing himself for battle; however he was not yet dead. Felicity was too weak to attack, however considering Jackie's short fuse for strangers and that the Elderly man was still standing she assumed him an ally.

Felicity watched from her uncomfortable position as the middle-aged man attempted to explain himself.

"And my name is Felicity." She added to the end of Jackie's small speech. 'More members of the group seemed clueless to their past than she had anticipated, but she let it slide and lay back down again, peering up at the fast darkening sky. "Should we head back now, she asked Jackie, her voice faded away into a sigh and she shut her eyes. She was tired, shocked from the unusual day she had, had and more by her powers during the last battle. She was in fact still awake, only resting under the ever looming presence of nature.

A distant roar rang through her ears, but despite the volume, Felicity lay still. Dozing…Pondering over who it was and why it happened...

Shanji looked at shen, studying him silently for a few moments "No hard feelings at all. But becareful where you point the finger. Some khajiit would take serious offence to it." he said coolly. His ears flattened when he heard the loud roar "It seems people have no patience in life here. Stunned by what they are, only to cause trouble for others."

"And my name is Felicity."

Ben was surprised at Jacquelyn's reaction, her revelations however took time to sink in, so he answered the easiest part first, giving him a few seconds to respond to the rest
"Well hello Felicity, I'm Ben,"
he turned back to Jacquelyn,
" Well deduced, I can see why you're a Legionaire , and no, thankyou I think I'll manage without the help of Sheela... whom I'll assume is the horse?"
He smiled, masking the dissapointment he felt at being offered aid. Whenever this happened, and he was quite proud to say that it was a rare event, he always felt useless his leg generally endured the blame for this and it could put him in a bad mood as he envied the able bodied, now however wasn't the time for so he continued, changing the subject;
"So I'm not the only one who has heard this call? Well thats good, I thought I might be imagining things... Whats all this about druids? I thought that way of life had died out... also who is Shen?
