Nature's Calling

Drisk looked at Altas with his dark red eye's shimmering in the darkness. He did not speak a word to Altas, he was not affraid of his threat.

"I dont think you want to tell the other of what you saw back there!", drisk stood before the man, and partially un-sheathed his sword.

"Come with me", drisk said as he tightly grabbed Altas' arm. The forrest was thick and dark, a perfect place for a secret to be told.

"I'am no assassin or any other kind of killer for hire. I'am just a Druid Archer, that had been cursed by Hircine himself", drisk stepped back and morphed into his Werecat form. The large hulking beast stood a good three feet above Altas, its dark gun metal gray fur shimmering in the dank light that broke through the tree's. Drisk did not need to speak telepathicly to Altas, but was a little worried of what he might think.

"I was attacked by one of Hircine's minion's while traveling through Hammerfell...", Ghost said (Thats the Werecats name), the hulking beast was more fluid in its movements as Ghost approached Altar, "Mr. Maun-foo was a Werecat or something, that I was to kill under the order's of Kynareth. When I got to Hammerfell, I had no idea what would happen or what the man was? After three months, I got into the eye of Maun-foo and some of his men took me in the night, to meet Maun-foo", Ghost looked around for a moment to make sure no one was coming or in the area.

"I finally met Maun-foo in a dark decrepid house, that had not been used in sometime. I was told by Kynareth to kill him on the spot, I had no quick exit to escape from, so I bided my time and joined into the "Pack", they were all either werewolfs or werecats, but Maun-foo was a hybrid of somekind?", Ghost looked into Altas' eye's as he continued, "I was cursed with the Werecat disease that very night. Those men worked for Maun-foo when I was one of Maun-foo's greatest "workers", I guess you could call it. I left shortly after and never returned to Hammerfell.", Ghost turned back into Drisk as drisk sat down.

"You do not tell anyone of what happened here or back where those men lay or I will have to kill you!", drisk looked at altas once more, and walked off back to where he sat against the Great Tree...

"Alright. Felicity-" Jackie turned to the girl now, kneeling again and holding her hand out to the girl to give assistance. "You mount Sheela. Don't worry if you've never rode before, she's very forgiving. But your spells obviously drained you a bit. You deserve a rest." After she would help Felicity up onto Sheela, Jacquelyn spoke to Ben again.

"You're not the only one to think that way. Druids have always been merely legends for the Foresters. And I was thinking myself mad hearing Kynareth, if that is indeed her. But that's only the start of the creepiness... I'd say more about Felicity's 'morphing'... but I don't want to think on it further." She seemed solemn as she spoke, and indeed was fighting to keep her mind off the prospect of committing cannibalism each time she hunted for food.

"Shen's the 'leader' apparently. You'll have to ask Felicity about the Druids, not Shen. She's much more gentle about delivering the information. He's a bit..." Jackie fought to consider the right word. "Zealous. We're heading over right now, if you wish to come." Her face lifted and she smiled as if just remembering something. "And yes, Sheela is my horse."

Altas was surprised, but not frightened, when Drisk turned into his animal form, as he towered above him. He's slightly bigger than Talis. Altas listened to his story and was not sure what to make of it. When Drisk went back to the clearing, Altas stood there for a minute, relieved Drisk didn't cause any violence, and thought about what just happened. Altas shortly joined the other druids in the clearing again. Atleast nobody asked what happened. I guess I'll keep Drisk's little 'secret'. Bored Altas sat down in an empty spot and began to let his mind wonder, looking at the sunset, and the trees around him.

Felicity opened her eyes once more, though she didn't honestly need it; she took the offer for granted and mounted Sheela with the help of Jackie. It had been an age since Felicity had first ridden a horse, and her first had been her last. Though she had an all-round love for nature and its creatures, she especially loved horses. Their beauty and their gentile approach had always intrigued her back home, and this chestnut mare was no exception.

Felicity let out a small feminine giggle as Jackie spoke of her morphing. "I wouldn't worry, the lack of druids is well known, as lead to the consideration that they are indeed legends. This would make the chance of you wearing one pretty slim, added the fact that in danger of being hunted a druid would more likely revert back to their human form rather than have their skin shaved." Though Jackie had not said it herself, she had made it pretty clear earlier on, Fliss remembered her sudden halt when fiddling with a strap stitched to her leather cuirass.

Still smiling Felicity kicked the horse softly in the side commencing a slow walking pace as allowing the other two to keep up.

Adeth had stayed ignorant of things happening around him, like he usually was, but instead of just sitting silent, he was lying down near the tree and writing the words of Kynareth into his notebook with an obscured hand writing, something almost no one else could read. The last lines broke as he heard a roar but thought it'd be taken care of. Adeth knew it didn't belong to a wolf, bear or any normal animal so it had to either be one of the druids or a large cat. Distantly he was sure.

Before the two men came from somewhere, Adeth had started to make himself some tea from his herbs, and it carried off a faint smell of mint. Something he actually enjoyed. Nothing else banished his anxieties better than tea.

'Could you two tell me what's going on out there? uh... I mean the roaring and clashing of metal.' Adeth said in a rather relaxed tone, non-hostile, without any kind of anxiety. And it almost seemed as if he had a clear view of his surroundings, where and who the people were. His senses always hightened a bit in that certain state of mind.

Altas looked behind to hear Adeth ask him what happened. He saw some of the other druids look at him as well. Then he saw Drisk shoot him a glare. "The roar was from me. Drisk came across a bandit and I helped him as Talis, my animal form. Nothing serious don't worry about it. We're fine." He had a smile on his face. He turned back around and noticed it was now beginning to get dark. He layed down, letting his eyes close, and let sleep take ahold of him once again...

"Well... still. The idea is... disconcerting." Jackie replied, walking behind her mare (OOC: Not stallion Arathorn. Mares=female. Stallion=male.) and in front of Ben. As they made the short walk to the Dying Giant Glade, Jackie explained what she could to the aging man.

"Apparently the druids have been in hiding for several years, existing only in legends and fireside tales. Shen said something about waiting for the call from Kynareth to gather and perform some deed. What exactly that deed is I am not sure." She told him, still sounding like she hardly believed this herself. "But those who are called here seem to be Druids, but not all of us understand our heritage, I'm guessing, since at least you and I do not. I'm still unsure myself, so don't worry about being unusual if you don't bite the bait immediately."

As she said this last bit, they entered the Glade proper, and Sheela moved over to the bench, dropping onto her front knees to make it easier for Felicity to dismount. Jackie moved over to the bench there and sat, sighing. After a moment, she looked around at the people gathered. "I heard a cat roar. Everything alright?"

OOC: Alright guys, better wrap up on your lil dramas there, inc the voice of Kynareth. (not the full message yet, it's just a calling to get everyone's attention to head to The Great Tree.)

IC: Sons and daughters of the forests.. a message through out everyone's mind was played, and heard, Shen heard it in his head, was it? could it be? Sons and daughters of the forests.. the message played again, Sons and daughters of the forest, children of the lady of air, come forth before The Great Tree.. it played again, except with a few more addition of words.

"The Lady of Air has finally spoken! Brothers and Sisters rejoice!" Shen yelled out loud, his voice echoing throughout Everwood, and came in rushing back to The Great Tree, he stood awaiting for the others to re-gather.

Edhelas yelped, he had already been awoken from his nap by an odd roar, now that voice was back. "Sons and daughters of the forest, children of the lady of air, come forth before The Great Tree.." it said, filling Ed with the same warmth it had done before, he was still in the small clearing, lying against the tree furthest away from everyone else, he slowly got to his feet and checked that all of his equipment was intact. Then, satisfied that he had been left undisturbed in his sleep, he walked toward the growing group of people. He heard someone say that they had heard the cat's roar too, "Me too," He added, "And I was having such a lovely nap, as well."

OOC By the way I'm going up to Liverpool tommorrow for a few days, I should be back for the weekend, I'm just explaining my absence...

IC
Ben made the journey to the Tree mostly in silence, listening as Jacquelyn, with some help from Felicity, explained to him about the druids. It was a lot to take in,
So some of these druids must have been hiding around here the whole time... Surely somebody must have seen them?
The prospect of an undiscovered society living in one of the most civilised parts of Tamriel worried him, it raised many questions and fears, if there was one group living out here, why not more? maybe less benign ones... Mostly though, Ben felt exited, he didn't experience the unknown very often any more and these 'Druids' were certainly a mystery, he was especially looking forwards to meeting Shen.

"The Lady of Air has finally spoken! Brothers and Sisters rejoice!"

The voice rang out loudly as Ben entered a clearing at its centre stood a giant half rotten tree,
That must be Shen... he certainly sounds the part for a servant of Kynareth

After dismounting the helpful Sheela, Felicity curtsied in thanks. The horse seemed to nod her head in return, as if so to say 'Your Welcome', and Fliss smiled at the concept.

The smile immediately widened as a small airy voice played inside her head,

"Sons and daughters of the forest, children of the lady of air, come forth before The Great Tree."

She knew exactly who it was as soon as it had begun, not only with everyone else stirring at the same time, but something within her just knew. Somewhere deep down she was part of this group, something she had never experienced before.

She glanced across to Jackie, trying to catch her eye, smiling, before turning back too hear the roar from Shen that echoed around the small clearing.

"The Lady of Air has finally spoken! Brothers and Sisters rejoice!"

And that too is what she did, a small jump for joy, before running over to Jackie and hugging her tightly. "Thank You" she whispered in her ear.

Altas awoke from Kynareth's voice. "Sons and daughters of the forest, children of the lady of air, come forth before The Great Tree.." He sat up and yawned, trying to listen more intently. Then he heard the woman known as Jacquelyn ask about the roar. "Don't worry about it, Drisk came across a bandit and I helped him as Talis." It was clearly almost midnight now, and he could hardly see the other driuds. "You guys might want to think about making a fire, it's really dark." This still doesn't explain why we were called here. I guess we'll just have to wait...

OOC: this post also explains my lack of posts, thanks to a bit of a small writers block (and currently Hellsing Ultimate too) with the situations already happening, I just couldn't make a decdent post with the bandit enounters

IC:
Because it was getting darker and people were thinking of setting up camp Desmond had offered to get some firewood from the forrest, he was already on his way back with some small sticks, twigs and a few small loges, but when eh ehard the calling he quickened his pace and deceased the weight of the load with a small feather spell to prevent him from dropping the firewood, near one of the benshes at the other side of the glade he left the firewood. He made his way to the others already at the Great tree.
"So now we finaly get to hear what Kynareth wants with us... great" he said with a casual tone, in the same state of anticipation as when he acted on the first message of Kynareth without any hesitation.

OOC: ok, Hellsing Ultimate and rolepaying the friendly guy might not make a good combo, my writing seems to get affected by the crazyness of the characters, I'm even thinking with a german accent!?

Amynd jumped when he heard the same voice run through his mind, the sound startled him every time he heard it and was beggining to think he was losing his mindm regardless he was compelled to learn what would happen next and walked towards the tree wondering if there was any truth in the messages they had been recieving.

"Did anyone else hear that" he asked curiously to no one in particular.

The man -was it Atlas? No... maybe Altis? Gah, Jackie couldn't remember- commented back to Jackie about helping Drisk handle bandits, satisfying her with a decent answer. She put one hand on her hip as she rolled her eyes. "We ran into a few ourselves. I think our activity is drawing the curious of the underworld in. Kynareth best get mov-"

Sons and daughters of the forest. The soft chime of a sing-song voice cut into her mind, interrupting her train of thought and train of speech simultaneously. Jackie notably paused at this, eyes roving around her as if searching for a source. Children of the Lady of Air. The sing-song voice returned, rustling her cautious thoughts like a breeze rustled tree leaves, gently caressing her mind with interruption. She turned around, looking towards the sky. Come forth before the Great Tree. The calm voice touched her once more, and her body involuntarily turned to look towards the Dying Giant, which must have been the Great Tree.

"The Lady of Air has finally spoken! Brothers and Sisters rejoice!"

Sheela moved towards Jackie, and nudged the woman with her head closer to the monolithic tree. But Jackie was stopped by an over-joyous bundle of life, which wrapped its arms around her tightly and whispered a 'thank you' in her ear. It was Felicity. Jackie was stunned; she usually didn't get hugs from people outside of her family. And she wasn't quite sure what she was being thanked for. Nonetheless, Jackie wrapped her arms around Felicity in return and smiled.

"Not sure what I did... but you're welcome."

"Did anyone else hear that?" Someone, a Breton, asked

"Yes, I think we all did." Edhelas answered, briefly indicating the woman with her arms wrapped around the Imperial, "I don't know what it did to them, but I want it to happen to me." He quipped, thinking he was being funny. He felt drowsy, but, where it might affect most people by making them more tempermental, it made Ed jolly, as if he was drunk. Ed winced, he had had a few drinks today which may explain his mood, but now he was beginning to feel the effects of a hangover coming on. His mouth was feeling dry and he suddenly found himself wishing for a drink of water.

Drisk looked around as the group of Druids walked over near him towards the tree. The sweet voice of Kynareth was finally heard. Drisk stood-up and looked to the tree. It was a thick tall tree, that deserved the name the Great Tree.

Drisk looked around as the rest gathered together and looked to the Great Tree...

Felicity pulled away from Jackie, maintaining eye contact and smiling as she did so. She was hungry, and rather cold too. She thought she had heard someone make a suggestion before about a fire. That would solve her temperature problems, however not her hunger.

"Perhaps we should find some sort of food, I don't know about you all, but i'm starving." Still smiling she scanned the area looking for what appeared to be some edible herb or plant. But there was nothing within the area that resembled anything edible. 'Perhaps I could search for something, outside of here, in the woodland.' She considered in her mind, but decided not too make any action, after all Kynareth had said to gather at the tree.

"Probably not a good idea right now with Kynareth about to appear. And it's so late." Jackie remarked, still holding her smile. She reached over to one of the several pouches around her waist, and opened one, pulling out a handful of deer jerky and holding it out.

"Here, take some of this to hold you off for now. Just made it two days ago. And I have more if you want it."

"I don't know what it did to them, but I want it to happen to me." One man commented, and Jackie glanced over to him before laughing.

"Don't get yourself too excited, I'm not about to leap into your lap to rejoice over a goddess' voice." She remarked back with a cocky grin. The atmosphere was changing slightly, and she was feeling more excited inside for some inexplicable reason. Maybe I'll get some answers.

"It could have been a druid" Felicity winked and smiled at Jackie, knowing of her previous mindset on dead animals, however still reaching and taking the piece of meat flopping from Jackies' hand. "Thanks" she said grinning as she bit into the lump of deer that she held in her lap.

Fliss had always been vegetarian rejecting any kind of meat, but it was only now with the bowels of her stomach moaning at her for food did she consider that the animal will have died in vain otherwise. Reassured, she wrestled with the gristle, not knowing what it was and thinking it near inedible. She was glad she had never had meat if this was what it tasted like. Nevertheless she ate it, unable to throw away what had been so kindly gifted to her.

"Are you not eating" she asked Jackie, taking a pause from the previous seconds munching..

Altas looked over to see Jacquelyn handing Felicity some jerky. "If you're going to give out some food, make sure you have enough for everyone.." Altas looked at Jacquelyn's reaction. "No, I'm just kidding, meat never interested me." he said with a laugh. I could gather some berries and nuts, I saw a couple bushes in the woods. If anyone's interested.. I also make the best tea you will ever taste, it's none of that nasty mint stuff, more sweet." he said in a proud voice.

"Ooh please". Felicity was excited, though the meat had been less than tender, her throat had been dry anyway. "Tea would be lovely, though i'm in no need for any more food." She smiled, the remains of gristle and deer blood around her lips must have been a terrible sight under the night sky. Felicity had only had tea once before, her Mentor had made it for her, and being the Alchemical genius that he is it tasted wonderful. She could remember the warmth of the brew, the sweet taste and the comforting feeling she got as it ran down her throat. She drifted off into the subconscious, thinking of her one experience of tea, before snapping back and smiling at Altas.

OOC: Jerky is salted, preserved meat. No blood, it's very dry. Ever try Beef Jerky? Not the same because it's processed, but same principle.

Anyways, I'm off for a bit, and will return to make an IC post later.
