Navy Vs Disney

Post » Sat Sep 18, 2010 4:56 am

Hahaha, that would be awesome!

... though that'd probably end up in some Space Jam type hijinks. :P

all cartoonish like http://disneyshorts.org/years/1949/graphics/legendofsleepyhollow/legendofsleepyhollow1thumb.jpg and whatnot

Haha! Their big Adams apples going up and down as they gulp in fear. :D

I was thinking more on the lines of adorable forest creatures who sing show tunes.

The Seals wouldn't stand a chance.

Heehee, They'd probably all be swaying together with their arms around each others shoulders. :P

I'm going to Euro Disney in a few months.. I think I'll take the ol' wind breaker along. The red/gold one with bird, ball 'n hook that yells usmc across the shoulders

ultimate defense:
Navy JAG says in court, in front of nation wide live TV: "Go ahead and use it, we've changed the name of units anyway."

Disney mouthpiece: "Ooooh, what's the new name?"

Jag, as he walks out of the court room to the camera's: "That's classified."

The Disney business model is only 1 step above organized crime. It rode the edge of lawful conduct ever since it started.

I explained this on the first page, but there is no universally correct way to translate ????? ?? ???? ?? ??? ?? ???? into english. Both Usama and Osama are acceptable translations, and Usama is used by the U.S. Government.

I thought it was too separate Osama from Obama.

No. The United States Government has been using Usama since long before Obama became the slightest bit relevant to national politics.

I must admit I don't see the attraction. At all. They've taken so many old tales and stories and utterly ripped the magic out of them. What's really sad is that so many people now think that Disney's saccharine versions of Pooh, Peter Pan and so many others are the original creations. :(

I can't believe Disney would try to copyright "Seal Team 6" when they do so much already we never know about and never hear about asides from major things and they only refer to them as Navy seals.

Ahhh of course, a special forces team made up of seals.

One seal wishes to join the force but has a bad flipper and is mocked. Through bravery, fwill, and the special friendship of a penguin they over come the odds to stop Dr. Blubber(A Walrus with an eye patch) from taking over the fishing embargo making it difficult for seals everywhere to eat. Of course many things would be taken wrong, it would proabably be ocnducted on the wrong pole and everything. Probably a polar bear henchmen.

Oh and it would all be CGI with the voices provided by Ben Stiller, Jessica Alba, Jim Carrey, and many other celebrities that are shown to much in the media these days.

I hate you Disney.

If Disney win this, I hope the Navy SEALS will raid disney and take over.
The next thing we will see the trade mark Disney stamped on every seal on this planet. That will be BS.
I think (correct me if I am wrong) is Navy SEALS are US version of the Australian/UK SAS?
What the SEALS done four weeks ago, good on them. Someone has to do it. They are trained to do that.
I like to see Disney do the same thing what the Navy SEALS done four weeks ago.

If Jessica Alba is in it, and because of the CGI all I get to hear is her voice..

The U.S. Army's Delta Force would be closer to SAS then the seals. Also, Seal team six, otherwise known as DEVGRU is a bit different then the rest of the Navy Seals.

So they take down Osama for their country, and Disney decides to merchandise and profit from it. Talk about a slap in the face for all involved.

it doesn't matter who files for copyright first if one group is without a doubt the origin of whatever is attempted for copyright, because all your original work is technically copyrighted the instant you make it, filing for the copyright is just to prove when you made it

(edit: errr, trademarks... i think they are the same though)
