NBA Playoffs

Atlanta or rather Georgia in general doesn't seem to care about its pro teams >>.

I'm sorry what?

I think the Hawks, Falcons, and Braves all have a massive following, and all three seem to be on the rise.

I am a Mavs fan, and I have to say that I am very proud of their performance in games 1-4 against LA. The team is known for kind of breaking down under pressure, but they really stepped it up. They kept their composure, even with the cheap shots in the last game.

The Mavericks really played basketball the way I think that basketball should be played. I say keep it and we could grab the championship. A lot of hard teams on the way, so the teams needs to be 100% ready.

Very disappointed with the Lakers in Game 4. They didn't play like they were a champion team, guess they forgot to bring class to the game. I am personally a Mavs fan, but I will show my respects to Lakers and the accomplishments in the past. They just didn't really show it in game 1-4.

Hope you have a good retirement Phil Jackson

Celtics lost today, making it Heat up 3 games to 1. It irritates me because the Celtics played them so well during the season. But, at least they didn't get swept like the Lakers. :D

I have always liked Rajon Rondo, and coming back from that injury and wanting to play and not [censored]ing about it is just legendary.

That being said he never needed to be guarded out by the 3 point line in the first place cause he couldnt shoot, now he doesn't have to be guarded at all. Miami is just stacking guys in the paint which makes it hard for the Celtics to score down by the basket, especially Garnet.

If the Celtics want any chance of winning, they have to start David West. Rondo needs to become the cheerleader, or at the very least the bench guy.

All I can say is I know the Celtics wish they still had Nate Robinson right now, he could fill Rondos absence way better than West can.

Yeah, that was probably the worst trade deal they could make. Robinson and Perkins gone. I was so pissed.

I think Shaq was supposed to fill Perkins shoes which is laughable, and I just couldn't get rid of Nate Robinson, the guy comes out and plays like he's hyped up on crack its great to watch.

I lost all faith in the NBA after the 2006 Finals. I thought that the refs gave the title to Miami, but now they have a chance to make things right.

I agree. Hell, Shaq can't even fill his own shoes.

He was great, but he should have retired at least a couple of years ago.

If you love the game then you ought to go for as long as you can. He's still a decent starter, it's just that his age brings injuries. He will be a first ballot Hall of Famer and with his personality he will have a future in broadcastin'.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying, and in his situation, I'd probably do the same. But it makes it hard to have faith when he is injured all the time. And I know it's gotta be hardest on him, to not be out there with the team.
He will have a great career broadcasting though, true enough. He will add lots of humor to the booth.

Yes, I'm sorry but what are you talking about?

All THREE of those teams have been travesty the last decade(not counting the vick era).

I'm talking about the last couple years, not a decade ago.

The braves have been one of the best NL teams in recent memory and the Hawks have come along nicely these past few years. The falcons had the Vick era and have been a solid team these past few years, with a very bright future.

Sure the Thrashers svck but chalk that up to Kovalchuck

I wouldn't call them travesty. The Falcons have four playoff appearances in the past ten years, while the Braves have five or six. If I'm counting right, the Hawks have made it four times. Travesty is a strong word to describe your pro sports in Georgia. The issue is it's a southern state, and southern states are rabid about college football.

So, I'm really hoping that the Bulls beat the Heat. I do not want LeBron to get a ring this year, or any year for that matter. I know that's unrealistic, so I will settle for this year.

Jumping all over the Memphis bandwagon. Whatever leads to the smallest market team making the finals. Memphis is really the only small market left.

Oh, and the Heat, since their fan's are very, very casual and many wouldn't watch the finals.

I'm still rooting for OKC. How can you not like KD, Westbrook and Serge Iblocka?

Being the Longhorns fan that I am, I love KD, and really want to see him get a ring. However, my Mavs fandom takes precedence. I don't to see the Mavs play OKC in the West Finals. I'd much rather prefer Memphis. There's no way we can defend OKC's backcourt.

I love the Durantula and Ibaka, Westbook on the other hand is a bit of a ball hog.He would be better suited at the SG position if you ask me.
