NBA Playoffs

Post » Mon Oct 18, 2010 2:00 am

Just watched the Lakers go down in flames, 122-86. Flagrant fouls by Bynum and Odom. So much for Kobe promising a win!

Eastern Conference Semifinals
1 Bulls lead the 5 Hawks 2 -1
2 Heat lead the 3 Celtics 2 - 1

Western Conference Semifinals
3 Mavericks defeat 2 Lakers 4 - 0
8 Grizzlies lead 4 Thunder 2 - 1

Good, Mavs have been my team since The Three J's.

Celtics are old, but I'd love to see them come back and clutch it against Miami. That'd be great. And also somewhat stimulate my interest in the NBA.

I would like to see Miami win just so everyone shuts up about Lebron not winning a championship.I suppose however there will be the people who say he only won it because of the team around him.

It's been interesting so far this year. I'd like to see Thunder - Mavs in the West, that would be a great match-up. In the East I reckon it'll be Heat - Bulls, which would also be a good one. Hard to pick an overall winner from the four.

I don't know who's going to take it this year.

Judging by how terrible the Lakers defense was in that entire series, I don't want to hand it over to the Mavs just yet.

That Mavs-Lakers series was awesome for me. I'm a big Mavs fan.

I want to see Bulls-Heat in the East Finals. DRose vs. Miami's Big 3 is an intriguing match-up.

I honestly don't think Memphis or OKC have all of the pieces needed to advance past the West finals.

I want to see a rematch of Mavs-Heat, only this time the Mavs get revenge.

All I know is that now I despise the Grizzlies with a passion. How dare they defeat my team!

Rooting for OKC.... Still shocked at Randolph's 21 rebounds though.

Mavs have been my team ever since Dirk Nowitzki came into the league. I don't have a favorite team really I just like him, and Chris Paul, they would be the favorites. Anyways the Mavs have got the best bench in the nba by far, they've got a couple of guys who would be starting on other teams. So glad to see them dominate, Dirk is one step closer to that elusive title.

How about Bynums cheap shot? I hope he gets fined and suspended next year for some games.

I'm not really a Celtics fan but I do love watching them. I'm hoping they can come back and win, itd be even more amazing after that nasty fall Rondo had.

Completely agree with you about Bynum. That was such a crock. The way he made his exit was even worse. He spent his time this week whining and pointing fingers, and nobody on the Lakers played like they gave a damn. I guess he just had to take it out on Barea who was making them all look like bums even though he's three feet shorter than they are.

He derailed him then slowly strutted off the floor. It was pathetic. When I say "some" games I really mean a lot of games.

I'm surprised someone from the Mavs didn't attack him.

I'm sure they wanted to. The refs and coaches did a good job of immediately squashing any of that though. As much as I wanted to see one of them take a swing at him, I'm glad they didn't. It made the Lakers look even worse.

Being a Celtics fan, I would like to see them take it. Realistically speaking, though, I'm not sure they can do it. I just don't want to see the Heat do it.

Really? They win back to back championships and now you're taking their loss this hard? :P

If I were a Lakers fan, I would be. Not just in the loss though, but how they lost. They were pretty pathetic. Uninspired, apathetic, and wanting to pass blame onto one another. It was pretty hard to watch. It's kind of funny, the last time the Lakers won back-to-back 'ships, the wheels fell off in kind of the same fashion.

Yea, seeing such apathy (and lack of discipline) would be hard to watch, but after winning 2 consecutive titles, I think I'd be able to shrug it off, as a fan.

I don't expect the hawks to get there. They always seem to make the playoffs but haven't made it to the one that matters in many years. Atlanta or rather Georgia in general doesn't seem to care about its pro teams >>.
