Agreed,Auburn has a great offense but the Ducks have put up staggering numbers this year with no game below 42 points so far.As for Hiesman I would like to see James win it but I think Cam Newton has got easily.

He's got a 66% pass completion ratio, 1573 passing yards, 9.71 yards per pass? attempt, 15 passing TDs, 1122 rushing yards and 7 yards per carry. I would like to see Auburn go up to 1, or stay in #2, either way the outcome usually stays the same. As long as we get to play the ducks, it should be a great game if it happens.

Unless Newton is ruled ineligible and the Auburn football program given the death penalty.

I think the most off-putting thing about sports is all the crazy statistics around. Like those above. I have no idea what even half of it means.

So another dominating victory and a good game by Lamichael James.I was a bit miffed when abc decided it was time to stop televising the game.

The Ducks didn't play very well at all, and still scored 53 and won by 37. :D

In all seriousness they need to play a lot better than that in their next 3 games or they are going to be in trouble. 100 yards in penalties and -2 in turnovers will get you beat against a good team, which the Huskies are not right now, especially without Locker. I am still having a hard time picturing the Ducks going undefeated and playing in the BCS championship game, but if they can tighten things up a bit they should be able to do it.

Yea the first half was pretty bad but they did what they do best and they just shut the doors to the endzone. I think they will be fine, it seemed like a lot of jitter being the first team in school history to be playing at home as the #1 team in the nation.

The Cam Newton story is just amazing to me. Everyday, we get to learn just how sleazy the world of College Football really is. Looks like Auburn is going to have to forfeit every game they win this year, no Heisman for Cam and a long, long period of probabation for the War Eagles after the season is over. Oh well, as long as he gets to play long enough to beat Alabama, I will be happy.

I would love to see him play long enough to get Auburn to the BCS championship game, then get suspended so the Ducks (assuming they get there) get to play against the back-up QB.

I really think it should be TCU and Oregon. I know as someone from the south I'm supposed to be all "SEC RULES!!!!" but from what I saw, TCU is the best team in the nation. Oregon is good, but until they prove they can play defense I don't think they will win the national championship. But, I do love them for beating Layne Kiffin and USC as badly as they did.

They play d when they need to.They have shut down teams in the second half of the season constantly.Besides when your scoring at least 42 points every single game you can afford to give up a few.

Especially when you consider how little rest the Oregon defense gets.

They do rotate people in and out very often but they definitely rely on their speed. It works though when you have every defender sprinting at the ball carrier.

 I didn't get to see much of the game because it is my mom's birthday and we had to go out to dinner. Cal has the best defense in the conference at home and showed it tonight. The Ducks were very lucky tonight, but every team has to get lucky at least once to go undefeated.

Okay, I'm not really a big NCAA Football fan but I like WVU Basketball. Bosie State (sp?) is pretty epic tho.

Well, looks like another national championship for the SEC again. And its not going to be either Florida or Alabama which is a good thing. Plus, I may get to go see my beloved (but crappy) Volunteers in the Music City Bowl in Nashville this year, if I can go, that will be amazingly cool. Depends on how outrageous the tickets are priced, but maybe ... just maybe I can go.

The National Championship has already been played????

Eh saw this coming for Cam,he deserves it for his play but I have yet to be impressed by his personality. Still the whole money taking thing makes me skeptical. His dad tries to take money from schools his son will be going to and Cam know nothing about it.....please.Still nothing has been proven yet and he deserves it.

The NCAA is taking the stance that they rather have another Reggie Bush situation, than punish a player who was wrongly accused. if you're the NCAA, you can't suspend the best player in the country, you're only shooting yourself in the foot much like the MLB did with steroids.

Agreed I don't really like Newton but hell he was by far the best player in the NCAA this year.

I'm currently in a bowl sheet where if anyone goes ALL wins or ALL losses they get the grand prize(fairly unlikely) of $420.

Well I started off 0-5, then Oklahoma State won and since then my record is 1-14. If I had chosen the opposite teams, I'd be in the lead by 5 games. I'd say its fitting considering how much I care, but people have sent me their condolences because everyone was pulling for me to continue the streak. People are ready to go anti-Oklahoma State forever for ruining something so perfect.

Very happy with Auburn this year, Cam too. The heisman wasn't too much of a mystery, still looking forward to playing Oregon though. I'll be shouting War Eagle at my TV screen, and all my friends probably won't have a clue what that means. :)
