I've searched through wiki and online but have found nothing here on this topic.

I'm being approached by this NCR MP after completing Volare, even after opening an early save and not completing

Volare, I still get this guy who starts to attack. I've read maybe it's a faction armor or if I've started Don't tread on the bear.

I have not started Don't tread on the bear quest and I am wearing Van Graff combat armor, I also have not been to see the legion and wear the

mark of Ceasar, could that have something to do with it?

I am liked by the NCR and help them on this play through.

One thing I should mention, I've downloaded this game from online. I used to have a disc version but lost it, I like the game this much I bought

the digital version. Could this be a reason for this glitch? I never encountered this issue on previous play thoughs, yet was playing off disc.

Any feedback?

This is a known glitch that was never fixed, the NCR MP near the embassy will attack you for no reason.

the best you can do is sneak around him, or kill him without being seen.

Where do I find this guy? And without loosing the mission Kings gambit? I'm trying to avoid loosing rep too

When he first attacked me, I thought it was a Frumentarius trying to assassinate me. Turns out the truth was a lot more boring.

I do know there's a workaround, although I don't remember the exact details. I think that if you reload before he enters the cell to confront you, he'll still force conversation with you, but it'll just be a generic "what do you want?" dialogue.
