ncr help needed : Fallout: New Vegas

i need some help with the ncr i need to get my fame up with them quick how would i do that and also how high does your ncr fame need to be to interrogate the hostage in mccarran

Rep: Do quests for the NCR. If your rep with them is already very low, it could take a lot of quests...and you can never be "idolized" ... there's another rep line that works with negative rep, instead ( eg, "Dark Hero.")

I've done it when Accepted by NCR. I might have even done it when still Neutral, but I'm not 100% sure on that, memory problems. If that did happen, I bet it was because I had Boone with me and NCR seem to recognize you as being ok or something, for some things, because I guess Boone tells them you're all right.

Do the quests, Three-Card Bounty, I Put a Spell on You, Restoring Hope, Anywhere I Wander, Bitter Springs Infirmary Blues, Can You Find It In Your Heart?, Cold, Cold Heart, Flags of Our Foul-Ups, Eye For An Eye, Medical Mystery, No, Not Much, Return to Sender, and That Lucky Old Sun.
I think you need Accepted Rep and high speech skill if you don't want to fight him.

High INT works too...either natural or with aids like mentats.

Do their quests to gain fame with them. It'll take a while, though. And if you wear NCR armor she won't let you interrogate him, but if you're idolized or accepted you can interrogate him. Hope that helps.
