No, the Enclave is the Enclave of the west. The NCR are a post-war government. The wiki link has all the relevant details.

they are a group that is dedicated to rebuilding society. there capital city has a population over 20,000 and growing. although there intentions are good they have been known to take part in shady dealings to further there cause. as for there armor they probably wear combat armor and military uniforms.

the N.C.R rangers are special forces designed for advanced operations. they were the armor that the "Badass from the teaser" wears. you know with the gas mask.

there army is extremely large. the largest in the entire country. they are extremely influential and powerful(on par with the enclave) except they believe in human rights and democracy

oh sorry im a new "noob Fallout Player" ive only been playing since fallout 3 but thinking of buying the first two and maybe tactics

Because they're at war with the BoS? The west coast BoS are more like the Outcasts and mainly only care about technology. The war with the NCR is over technology, so you can only assume that the BoS are after the NCRs technology. The BoS on the west coast aren't white knights.

oh sorry im a new "noob Fallout Player" ive only been playing since fallout 3 but thinking of buying the first two and maybe tactics

It's okay, and I just got 1, 2, and Tactic about a month ago, and really liked them, as far as the plot goes, but if you do get them you will notice they are more difficult, as super mutants are as hard to kill as a behemoth at an early level in FO3.

Well thats because Van Buren info isn't canon right? I was just told this today so I have to go back and re-read some of this.

Agreed Van Buren info is not canon. Thing is the Devs of New Vegas are using Van Buren as inspiration some worked on Van Buren. They already said that BoS was at war with NCR over Hoover Dam. This explains why NCR is no longer using Gold Coins but now using paper money. Also why some people are using Caps again.

Van Buren gives us a good idea of what might be in New Vegas. The Devs say it's not a source of info but so far there are many things from VB that are going to be in New Vegas.

I always thought the NCR were snooty chumps in the original games... They kinda sound like they are being presented as the good guys in NV.

I heard there's no black and white, only different shades of Grey. At least, from what I heard, it'll be hard to tell who's the good guy and who's the bad guy.

Now, Obsidian is saying that the NCR are more of the good guys and the Legion is supposed to be more of the bad guys, but apparently we will still see some shades of gray from each faction.

Ah man, and that's what I thought was a good angle to come at with the game. Ah well, if we can still see some shades of grey, I guess I'll be happy. :sadvaultboy:
