I know you can mod your game or use console to get it, but it just feels wierd.

I mean if you can join NCR and do some quest for them and then they reward you with a set of this armor it'd be awesome!

Also the problem (more a glitch) that you can't repair NCR ranger armor with another set of NCR ranger armor, it's kind of wrong, yea kind of.

I have NCR Ranger armor on Boone. I picked some up at a Ranger Station that had been raided by the Legion. You get the quest by a guy in the town with Dinky the Dino. He's a ranger in the building to the left of the dino's back (If that makes sense). Get the quest, loot the bodies, profit.
