NCR takes north America!

This is a spawn of pure curiosity. At the current rate of expansion could the NCR eventually take all of north America?

Doubtful. They haven't even captured the Mojave fully by the start of New Vegas and they are already struggling with supply chains and other logistical problems. Not only that, but their leadership is rife with corruption.

Even if NCR victory is the canon ending to New Vegas (and I don't think it is), they would still have to contend with the remnants of the Legion and its state further east.

Exactly, the Legion, if lost at Hoover Dam, will not lose the war, only the battle. They'll still exist.

The NCR is probably going to collapse before it gets much further. I think the WBOS are getting desperate and desperate people sitting on top of big loads of technology tend to do something they'll regret later. There's also the current food situation with NCR scientists predicting a big food shortage soon.

Their governmental structure has got to be creaking - every second town or so has the equivalent status to a US state, yet controls a fraction of the area. Consolidation is overdue.

The NCR's in trouble, but I don't think most of them realise it yet - and I havent even gotten to Ceasar's legion and the MWBOS yet.

I could see them doing it. They need to get there stuff together if they think they can accomplish such a feat. North America is very big and right now they only control most of the east.

we know next nothing about whats in the U.S. let alone North America.

It could happen, ask me after another 3 fo games that take the place some where besides the west.

As we speak Lyons bos has piles of Enclave gear, and are getting more members by the day, because the are g-d heros. By the time NCR gets over there Lyons bos will be a beast. Sarah Lyons is next in command until the young Maxon kid grows up.

He has see only Lyons form of leadership. I don t thing thd will go back to the stupid codex. The cw will be very different next time we see it.

I suppose the question is how big the state of California was in the USA Pre-Great War. They seemed to have consolidated most of the states before the war. It's possible NCR might be following Pre-War lines before anything else.

However, the big issue is how well they could digest the Mojave with the Courier's help.

In Yes Mans' ending - they might actually benefit from being forced to continue rebuilding their infrastructure there.

In the NCR ending - the expansion might be good given they have widespread support thanks to the Courier.

I'd say that given the Capital Wasteland is nominally now effectively a BOS kingdom, the real issue is whether it and the MWBOS would be enemies or allies of NCR.

I've always seen the NCR as having a manifest destiny moving west to east rather than east to west. The Legion will most likely fall apart after the second battle at Hoover Dam due to Caesar and the legate both probably being dead, and once their leadership is gone it wont be much longer until the whole Legion falls.

So they colonise the sea :P? Really though, for a long time they are going to be cooped up where they are, according to Hildern they have a nation-wide starvation on the way unless something is done.

Fascists!! Ahem, sorry got caught up in the moment there fellas. Anyways I should have said that's what I want to happen, not necessarily what I think will. I think what cannon will end up being is House ends up taking Vegas for himself and the NCR and Legion get pushed back to their respective nations.

No they will not take all of North America anytime soon. If anything their current rate of expantion is causing problems. To paraphrase Marcus " If you have land they want they will take it one way or another, NCR just roles over people. That is how revolutions are born."

NCR is expanding into Mexico and can expand into Canada and northern United States. Still the Legion is a knife in their belly.

Without the courier the NCR would surely lose. The Legion is very stable and is least dependable on the courier. And the NCR taking the entirety of North America? No way.

^ this

At most I see them expanding North into Orgeon and Washington State and further South into Mexico but being stopped by internal Crisis and tougher enemies. I personally think the House ending will be Cannon so they wouldn't expand further east for awhile

It will eventually meet a faction must stronger then they are (maybe the MWBoS) and will have to decide whether to fight them and get [censored] or to befrind them and set up a border. They can barely keep themselves secure in southern California, for them to take over all of North America they would have to suddenly find a trillion robots who obey their every command with the most advanced weapons ever to take over.

The food crisis is somewhat overstated to be perfectly honest. Honestly, if you help Doctor Hilburn then he's pretty much taken care of that anyway. Next, that's at the PRESENT RATE OF GROWTH.

Bluntly, even in an independent or Mister House ending, NCR can just send people to colonize other places - it just would require immigration to be approved by King Courier (or Mister House).

Things that don't make sense are a peace treaty with Mister House, The Brotherhood and Mister House, and no option to ally with NCR and your Securitron army.

Mr.House would never trust the BoS. NCR wants the Mojave for themselves. They don't want to share. NCR makes it clear they will come back.

NCR will keep expanding. If NCR wins the Mojave there is a chance they will take Mr.House's Army for themselves. Still they will expand, just slowly. Back west they have trains, vast farms and alot of tech and so on. They are the biggest most well established faction in Fallout. Legion is the second but we don't know how well things are back in his lands. Caesar seems to hate tech so I doubt he has trains or computers.

Did the new patch make it so you can't just unplug Mr.House? My last play through I unpluged him but could not open the doors to get out so I had to kill him.
