you dont have to be a ass about it. The vet armor does look sick and awesome. He kills in style and Has skill also. The centurion at Cotton wood cove seems like a whine tard always. He thinks hes better than everyone else. Thats the one thing i hate about the Legion if your not one of them they call you dumb names like Profiligent or something. Ooooo were legion were so great well there not.

When you've killed people in the hundreds and command over 80 people on the battlefield, you are better than anyone else. Certainly better than a wasteland mailman.

He will however be impressed with you if you bring him a lot of NCR dog tags.

The Legion cent is fierce, violent, and well eqquiped. On the other hand, the vet is silent, deadly and bad-ass.

The Legion cent is well prepared for battles and plan great battle strategies. The NCR vet is sloppy and un-prepared for everything.

The Legion cent outnumbers the NCR vet by 4 states. The NCR have half of California.

The Legion cent are romans. The NCR vet is... California.

i dont see what your getting at with the last two sentences there. But how is the NCR vet sloppy if anything he is well organized and prepared for everything. and the VET isnt well equipped but the Cent is??? Sounds kinda out of place.

You know an AMR is scoped and if someone is charging at you with a chainsaw they are going to manuver around and such to avoid the shot, and The AMR is not a one hit kill especially against a centurion, my guns skill is 100 and my strength is 8 an I am playing on normal, can I ask what difficulty you are playing at?

In a toe to toe fight I give it to the Centurion. The problem for the Centurion is making it a toe to toe fight. The Vet Ranger is not dumb, and they are patient. He/She will pick when and where to fight.

Used the base id's from GECK. Don't know why tho, but some NPC's keep looking down while in combat. Literally.

A. I'm not in the business of beating about the bush. That's my honest opinion.

B. The word is 'Profligate', a Latin word. Which is to my understanding 'lesser being' to paraphrase. Which according to the Legion mindset, they're right. They instruct a harsh and rigorous system of law and order, ban the use of any drugs, high end medicinal chemicals, and alchohol. They aren't as 'nice' as the NCR about their rules, but they won't lie and play nice like the NCR does, they're honest about their intentions. Personally, I disapprove of their goals, but Caesar has his heart set in the right place in his goal. Though some on the forum complain his theme is to 'weird', the funny thing is that's precisely why Caesar uses the Roman theme. It's something alien and unfamiliar to the populace. When they conquer a tribe, they strip it of their unique tribal identities, and uniform them with the bannister and armor of the Legion. The NCR is no different, as according to Cassidy, she states the NCR is hunting down tribal settlements and 'civilizing' them. So I honestly see Caesar's ideals as I see Communism, a nice idea on paper, but in reality, his methods unrealistic.

C. He's probably a 'whine tard' because, oh I don't know, he's one of the highest ranking officers in the Legion.

Edit @ Colbert- You should have made that video a fair fight. Give them all super sledges for a melee round, then let the NCR troops carry their standard weapons and the Centurions carry Marksman Carbine (Which they use in the BoHD)

People say this to me all the time... I spawn them in console commands but I don't know how to add weapons to them. NCR rangers did carry their standard weaponry - brush gun and sequoia pistol thing. Centurions did have a chance of winning - thermal lance, and some had super sledges.

I encourage you to try it, but in the meanwhile I shall spawn them again for different results.

EDIT: Okay tried the marksman carbine. they don't equip it though. they only equip the melee weapons.

Try spawning the centurions with the black masks, they are the Hoover Dam ones, so they should equip it, don't forget to add 5.56m ammo too. Also, I play on PS3 so I cant do it D:

Edit: The problem with the brush gun is it's OP, so it pretty much defines you as defacto winner against a melee foe. Just keep running backward and shoot.

@Stephan colbert that vidoes pretty much answered this whole question of who wins....THE VET why well lets see the 2 vets just 2 went against the Centurturions and the Centurions got wrecked even when they were outnumbered they still slaughtered them. It goes to show that guns are better than melee weapons

Also im playing on very hard difficulty i have you know.

No guarantee of a quick kill with bullets, you have to hit him in the right place, and hope it dosnt jam, or miss, or whatever. If a centurion gets close enough with a chainsaw, its time for the ranger to say his prayers.

And so ranger sequoia is a one hit kill too then? It honestly is not that great... :dry: I mean come on I have knocked so many weapons out of peoples hands with a chainsaw.

I'd guess the vets have faced centurions a few times. Centurion for every 80 men according to the wiki, more than a few would have been encountered and where that number of Legion exist the Ranger veterans would be around.
Hell, in the arena fight they state than an ordinary ranger killed a machete wielding centurion with her bare fists...

Also, the centurion armour is worse, bits of other people's armour strapped together looks cool but is unwieldy, one of the primary issues with armour is making it durable but flexible enough to use well. Strapping random parts together is intimidating but will just result in seriously flawed defence, either weaknesses in the armour or a lack of manoeuvrability for the wearer...

Regardless, Colberts first video makes the point of melee vs ranged, even at close range. We shall see what happens when both have ranged weaponry but my money is on the rangers, especially if there's any distance between them.

and still the DT of the armour is 23, weak centurions are an embarrassment, I killed that ranger level 8. Still not a very fair fight, Steve should have done deadliest warrior style.

yes i agree with everything you have said. The rangers for one are skilled With weapons i mean there gun skill is 100. Its pretty bad that a Ordinary Ranger killed a Centurion with its bare knuckels like really i thought the Centurions were this godly Figure that couldnt be killed but thats not the case.

@sapperett the Ranger sequia is a good weapon...better than the weapons that those Centurions use. It does a considerably amount of damage.
