[Medicine 80] The courier killed himself with a gunshot to the head shortly following the homicide of the three centurions. He most likely suffered from severe depression brought on by his tramatic experience of being shot in the head.

Well, I will have to go with the Ranger, though i will add when fighting with the NCR, our Paladins were doing very good as well.

[Speech 90] Incorrect! I missed one shot. Looks like the Intelligence is not 7, you even spelled intelligence wrong.

well of course its The Brotherhood is awsome. and the terrian with the Centurion and VET would probably be in medium sized place like mccaren court yards.

Depends. If the centurion could get up in his 'grill' before he could get shot at, I would go with the centurion. But if they both started far away, the ranger unless the centurion could sneak up on him.

No it would be at medium ranges. No one would get a jump. Fair fighting. The VET would probably use his Brush gun and the centurion would use his marksman carbine. even with that the vet would tear him in half.

Chief Hanlon said that some Centurion (or was it the Burned Man?) killed 5 Rangers. Veteran Rangers? I don't know.

Depends on the range of engagement. At 50 paces, the Centurion would probably run through all the gunfire, block the Ranger's "takedown" move, and pwn his face.

yah i dont know about that. Vet rangers would for sure pick of the centurion before he would get there. and NCR rangers with the clothes that have 0 DT svck balls legit.

To the people with the stats. According to the Falloutwiki, at Hoover Dam they were 10-33, so I assume that this is the same levels.

And if it is mid distance, than the centurions would not be able to utilize their strength, which is melee. The equipment clearly implies this.

yup the Centurions weakness. See the NCR vet has no weaknesses at all muahahahah. They are good at close range, far range, and medium you name it they will do it. But the legion could use there Marksmen carbines at that range

What do they have for close range? And at mid range, if they were using the same weapon I am sure it would be a pretty even fight.

Neither, in the middle of the fight, a Talon Company Veteran Mercenary, clad in Talon Company Combat Armor, Reinforced Mk. II, busts in and completely destroys both of them with a Type-87 Chinese Assault Rifle chambered in .308 using .308 JSP.

did i forget to mention the Talon Company Veteran Mercenary was leading a squad of 5 Talon Company Mercenaries, 3 with 5.56mm R91 Assault Rifles, 1 with an AER9 Laser Rifle, and 1 with a 12 Gauge Riot Shotgun. Each of them would be wearing their standard-issue Talon Company Combat Armor.

Hard to tell med-range. Centurions are battlefield commanders, not mere combat troops. But really, given the circumstances, I guess the vet would be the most sensible choice.

I think that the First Battle of Hoover Dam has proven that the Legion's philosophy of having their officers use close quarters combat as their primary attack is beyond moronic. Especially that the NCR have some of the best sharpshooters around available. By the time that they managed to get close enough to attack the Rangers, they will have already been heavily wounded and and be easily finished off.

As for one to one combat. It depends entirely on how large the room that they are fighting in is.

That's not why the Legion lost. They actually won until Graham decided to pursue the NCR into Boulder City.

It would also depend on If ones limb is crippled first (your grabbing at your head the enemies going to have alot more time to keep firing)

Even if the centurions got close, the Vets could (possibly) disarm them, or use the ranger takedown.
At mid range, their marksman carbines don't punch through the vets DT, while a brush gun, sequoia, or AMR is going to leave a gaping hole in the centurion.
If in an open field, depends on the weaponry.
If in a rocky outcrop area, probably still the vet, as their job is alot of the time recon, their already used to the environment.
EDIT: not sure who said that Graham took down 5 vets, but I believe it's the opposite, they were talking of how tough Graham was, that they had 5 kill confirms from rangers.
