[REL] Necessities of Morrowind 3.0

The common beer model works for me

I merged lists and now ducks from abot's mod are dropping beef
EDIT - This is not from your mod, it's actually in the duck script from the latest version of water life

I should have examined the levelled lists before I said anything :)

I use the rolling pin fine. Only, I tend to forget one of the ingredients now and then and it so informs me. Perhaps you are using some kind of crafting mod that is conflicting?

Noper, I dont even own a rolling pin. Which is why its so odd. o_O;
I am doing a reinstall now, now that I tested out mods I found I liked some but others not my taste. Will see if removeing those will help with NOM.

This is a great mod. :) Evil rolling pins aside.... XD

Model is fine. http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/1461/mgescreenshot34.jpg.

Am I missing something obvious here? I doubt missing water bottle icons wouldn't be noticed... I guess I'll try installing the icons again.

Dont know if this is a error thats been around before but, I get a pop up randomly sometimes saying somthing like "you dont know how to use a rolling pin to make food" and then the game crashes. Sort of odd XD

Let me know if reinstalling solves the problem. Seems like the rolling pin script is running in background for some reason; I'm guessing you got the message and crashes after activating something?

This is really weird. The icons are there, I'm sure of it. In the second screen you posted, not only the icon, but the mesh too is wrong (the water bottle should be full of liquid). Let's try to narrow down the problem...
Are you using NoM on a fresh game or on a savegame containing the previous version? Are you using the right esp?

Fresh game, and I didn't have earlier versions installed in this installation. I just reinstalled the icons/meshes but that didn't do anything either. As far as I know I'm using the right esps. Here's my load order:

Bingo. I just thought of that myself too, since it was meant for an older version. Indeed, removing it fixed the broken icons. Thanks!

Try loading it before NoM instead of removing it. I don't think it will give problems if you load it first.

All NOM equipment works fine, but I have a problem with the tisane book now. I completed both tisane quests before the update, everything was ok. Then I decided to create a grocery list for this book which was lying in a chest and the game crashed. It crashes every time I try to interact with this particular book. Other NOM books are good. I've posted my load order before, but just for сonvenience.

Scripted books act strangely when the mods they rely on change or another mod adds/changes scripts on books. They are particularly vulnerable if you have them in your inventory when you make the change. I would suggest either finding another copy of that book or just dropping it and adding another copy to your game using the console. You may want to disable and/or delete the original from your game as that one single copy may *never* work correctly.

Thank you for your advice, you were right. I added another copy via console, and it's ok. Is there any way to delete the bad copy from the chest?

Sure! Save before you do it because deleting scripted items can sometimes cause CTD.

First you need to put the bad copy somewhere in the game world. I don't think you can delete anything while it is in a container. Just pick it up and drop it on the ground. Open the console and click on the book so that its ID appears at the top of the console box. Type "disable" without the quotes and press enter. This will make it disappear. To completely delete it, then type "setdelete 1" (again without the quotes) and press enter. At this point, the ID *should* disappear from the top of the console box and it cannot be restored to the game. If, for some reason the ID doesn't go away, just close the console and go on. I don't know why sometimes it goes away and sometimes it doesn't, but setdelete is the command you want.

These commands can be used to get rid of a lot of things ingame. There are a few things you'll want to note:

* save before and after. Deleting scripted items can cause temporary instability which leads to CTD.
* Use the "disable" command first. If you have accidentally clicked on the wrong thing, as long as you don't click on anything else (thus removing its ID from the top of the console window), you can type "enable" (without the quotes) and then enter to return the item/NPC/static to the gameworld.
* If you make a mistake, reload your save and try again.
* the collision for the object may remain until you leave and re-enter that cell. For instance, if you delete a rock, you will have to walk around that spot until you change cells and come back.
* the item will only be gone from that save and saves made after the delete. saves made before the delete will still contain the item.

I happen to find it entertaining to use the 'setdelete' and 'placeatpc' console commands to customize my games. Have fun!

That's a lot of useful information, thank you, Elaura. I'm familiar with "disable", but didn't know about "setdelete". Now I can get rid from the mixing bowl glued to the floor of Ald'ruhn Temple, not speaking about all those other opportunities. :) The tisane book is not that easy, though. I cannot drop it on the floor without crashing the game. I can use the option "take all" and it is in my inventory, that's all. Any attempt to cursor it = crash. Hmm, I guess I have 3 option here: to delete the chest itself, to restart the house mod, to forget about it.
A question about ovens. I found two in Balmora, then combed Ald'ruhn and Gnisis and found nothing. Was I just unattentive, or Balmora is special somehow? :) Sorry if it was addressed before.

I had the same issue with two of the NoM books when I updated, and got rid of them by selling them to one of the ephemeral re-spawning guar traders from Starfire's NPCs. In the past, though, I've eliminated crashy things from my game by either putting them in a corpse and leaving it for the 72 hour clean up to dispose of, or by putting them in a container in a cell I don't care about (like the exterior of Balmora, or good old Foryn Gilnith's shack) and then deleting that cell in Enchanted Editor. YMMV, of course. (And after some reflection, I suppose deleting the offending object directly from my inventory on EE would work just as well, but I've never actually tried it...)

I've always wanted an in-game "recycle bin" for junk. What a great idea Sky, stashing junk in a corpse

Btw does anyone have a way to fix underweight encumberance issues without making a mod every time? Is there a mod out there to reset it?

All your dreams will come true:

I've been out of playing Morrowind for some months, its great to see my favourite immersive mod's upgrade is finally completed! Thanks very much to Taddeus and the rest of the contributors, I personally really appreciate the hard work that goes into NOM.

Many redoran buildings have an oven inside, so there was no need to add more of them.

Well, brand new game new install. Still getting the rolling pin error.

Open a door, suddenly a box pops up saying " You dont know how to cook useing a rolling pin!". Then the game freezes and I have to ctrl alt delete out.

So very odd.

Maybe you're using some kind of old (2.13) NoM addon?
