the way i see it is why not? there's plenty of undead there and the empire is about to collapse so there seems to be enough turmoil for them flourish

Long live Mannimarco! With the downfall of the Mage's Guild, there would be no one to stop them. Keep in mind, when I say Mannimarco, I mean the Daggerfall Mannimarco, not some poncy Altmer.

I have a hard time understanding why bethesda actually thought it was a good idea making Mannimarco into a snobbish altmer...

Perfect opposing faction for the mages guild. Unless Bethesda come up with something cooler, I'd like it.

It could be. Necromancy won't be it's own skill, but it could be a subset of conjuration.

The whole mod nonsense in the poll is a waste of space to be honest.

I think it could be interesting (especially if we meet the REAL manimarco) but the character would have to get knee deep in the gruesome business of Necromancy (Skyrim's hopefuly M rated so yano) and actualy have to be a skilled spellcaster to join (unlike Oblivion's mages guild)

There could be a necromancer perk that needed a certain skill in conjuration

IF there is a mages guild, there needs to be a necromancer guild to oppose it. If there is a fighters guild, there needs to be a blackwater company equivalent i can join. If there is a theives guild, i need to be able to join the guard. If there is dark brotherhood-esq guild, i need to be able to join some group that opposes the dark brotherhood.

Choices!

edit: though if you join necromancers, you shouldnt be able to join the mages ect. Each guild needs to give unique perks. Like if you join the necromancers, you get access to dark magic.

This would be cool, theres always so many skeletons laying around I wouldent mind using them to help fight people, then bringing back the dead enemies I just killed and using them as well, it would be fun =]

If the necromancers guild had to oppose the mages guild I wouldn't join. I'm a necromancer, but I want no part two factions meaningless squabbling.

Edit:If they were a bunch of emo goth kids talking about evil things like the Dark Brotherhood, I wouldn't join either.

Actually, I don't really care that the game includes some necromancers' guild, but I'd really love to have the chance to practice necromancy.

And I mean something deeper than soultrapping NPCs in a black soulgem.

If there's a faction for necromancers that you can join or, anyway, interact with (teachers? Quest givers?) that's fine, too.

I wouldn't cry if I can't become a lich or if Mannimarco is not in, though.

Give me a lich companion, an evil cave with my own apprentices and a dark spellbook and I'm set. :hubbahubba:

Ehh, it's probably a subset of crafting. You have to build the skeleton warriors you know.

Screw Mannimarco...Yes, he's the most powerful lich ever, but why does everything involving necromancy have to revolve around him?
