I just wanted to make sure something got posted about necromancy. Conjuration in general has issues. I was happy when i discovered i could create thrall but became disappointed when i discovered how bad they preform. comparing to other magics conjuration seems less well done, destruction peaks at the production of a kamehameha wave that drop ancient dragons like iron barbells, illusion has mass paralyze which opens enemies up to any follow up attack, so on and so forth. Conjuration receives the thralls with storm thrall being the apex, which is neat, you can even have two of them but all the atronachs (atroni?) fair badly against gangs where as dead thralls being people seem to instant kill most things that are lightly armored. However i am at level 51 and cant enthrall most creatures that would make good thralls comparable to my level the best i can do is to outfit a companion in suped up daedric armor and give them a equally suped up weapon then kill and enthrall them. even if this works not only do i lose a companion but the can no long do anything moderately intelligent and i'd live in fear they would disappear without me knowing.
I didn't get angry enough about this until i realized that this inherently made bandit mages the best i could get due to their ability to become living flamethrowers, which only works as long as they don't kill me by accident or get into a fight with each other (something they shouldn't be smart enough to do if they can't even put on armor). I just tried to resurrect a draugr and it said he's too strong to resurrect with a spell invented by a god who brought people back completely using it AFTER he was mortal and hiding in caves like neanderthal.
in short can you all take the limiter on dead thrall and make it based on character level instead of a preset level aswell as making dead thralls closer to companions, you're killing the fun and most of the roleplaying for necros.
