I need a beta tester

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:41 am

I'd like somebody to run through the main quest with my companion mod and provide feedback on it. Specifically, I'd like to know:

If there are any spelling and/or grammar mistakes.
If my companion speaks incorrectly about a quest or fails to mention it at all. Note, this only applies to the Blades' quests and no other factions.
If the comments she makes are appropriate for the quest. I know this is subjective, but I would still like feedback. :)
If there are any conflicts with other mods.
Any other suggestions that come to mind.

Because of scripting updates, combined with how the code patch keeps track of saved game data, I've been having problems keeping a saved game healthy long enough to do thorough testing, but I'm at a point where future updates will only add content and not replace it, the mod should be stable enough for a quick run through. Also, I use GCD, which slows down my leveling and makes advancing in the Blades a little more difficult without cheating or training "abuse", so I'm looking for somebody who's willing to do some leg work for me. Thanks in advance.

How does your mod destroy save game health?

and how do you know if it does that?

more importantly, how long does the average save game last? what causes it to go bad?

It destroys it by causing doubling. The last time I tried to update the mod, I would up with three different versions of my companion: one didn't have her proper dialogue while two others did. How long do they last? It depends on the length of time between updates to my companion's script. I've been using routines from another person who was trying to update Grumpy's old scripts and, well, there have been a few bumps along the road. But, that part of the mod is not going to change anytime soon unless my scripter finds an error that needs to be fixed. The saves themselves load just fine, it's my companion itself that gets screwed up.
