Need Code to Force Marriage Quest Progress

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 8:04 pm

I managed to both get Illia back as a follower after having dismissed her and get her to bring up the dialogue for marriage. Here's the problem: I went to the temple to set up the marriage and Maramal has no option to set it up. I used the code previously to get other NPC's to marry me and it worked without a problem, but not with Illia.

Does anyone know what to enter in the cheat console to force Maramal to either 1) have the option to set up the wedding or 2) to move the questline forward to the wedding?

Jo'Khalli thanks you in advance.

since it's not a quest in the traditional sense the only way to force the marriage is with commands but you skip the ceremony.

try here to see if you can find a solution without the commands: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Marriage

if that doesn't work the commmands are:

addfac 19809 1

and

setrelationshiprank player 4

I think you misunderstood. I don't want to marry Maramal. I have Illia already waiting to be married ( I used addfac 19809 1 and setrelthionshiprank player 1 -- the 1 allows illia to talk to me again). Maramal just won't show the dialogue to set up the wedding at the temple. Which the marriage part is a quest when you talk to maramal. And you can fail it.

nope, didn't misunderstand at all. just saying that the marriage 'quest' isn't a traditional quest in that it doesn't have stages like normal quests (at least not known stages until the creation kit is released). so, if you can't figure your solution based on what wiki says, the console commands will allow you to marry Illia and skip the ceremony since that is all that's remaining.

Well the part to start the dialogue starts a little quest to wait for the wedding. Which is what I mean. But the console commands addfac and setrelationship rank just allow the person to be added to the mariagable faction and show the dialogue to ask to get married. It won't actually give me a wedding or make her married to me without the ceremony.

I was hoping someone could give me something to say: set the quest to the next part automatically or simply set her as already married to me. I'm getting tired of hearing "you should set up the wedding...blah blah" lol which actually is in my log as a quest too. It says to visit Maramal in Riften to set up the ceremony.

The only thing I can find is to complete all quests or suggestions to set quest progression for other quests.

Nevermind. I found my answer in this post http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=26476166 and with this wiki http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Bonds_of_Matrimony

Thanks everyone! :)
