Need expert opinions on questing order

Post » Wed Sep 17, 2014 9:11 pm

Okay, So I have never done any of the major questlines and I am going to list my 3 charactars and what questlines they will be doing. I want you guys to help me and give me your opinion on which order they should be done to get the most satisfaction out of the character. In other words, in which order it will have the biggest climix.

1. Kalewyn- Breton battle mage

He will be the Dragonborn doing the College of Winterhold, the main quest, and Dragonborn DLC. I was wondering if the main quest was so epic that Dragonborn could be done first.

2. Drakvar- Evil Nord Spell Sword (Soon to be Vampire Lord)

He will be doing The Dark Brotherhood and Dawnguard and all evil quests

3. Felgar- Nord Warrior (no magic whatsoever)

He will be doing the bard quests, thieves guild, the companions, and the civil war. I am also thinking about making this guy a werewolf. He has not been created yet.

I have really been planning this all out and plan on playing each character about 200 hours a piece. I want each one to end their respective story arcs on the biggest climix possible and am very interested in your opinions. Any other quest ideas for these characters welcomed. :D

1) start with the CoW, than move onto the MQ, and than Dragonborn (the boss fight in Dragonborn is far more climactic than the MQ)

2) if you are roleplaying start with the Volkihar (aka DG vamp side) than go onto the DB, if your not do the DB first

3) start with the Bards College, than onto the TG, the Companions, and than end with the CW

(note, you cannot start the Civil War without starting the Main Quest.. one of the early CW quests won't let you complete it until after a certain point in the MQ)
(you can not start the Dragonborn questline without reaching a certain point in the MQ as well)

2. Can you become the vampire lord without doing all the dawnguard quests first? Meaning, could I become one, do the dark brotherhood, and go back and finish DG?

3. As far as Dragonborn DLC....can I enter the new area it gives you without starting any quests there?

1. College of Winterhold then MQ and then Dragonborn DLC.

2. Dawnguard then Dark Brotherhood. a vampire would make a GREAT assassin.

3. Companions, then do a combination of Thieves guild, Civil War and Bard's college.

2) early on in the DG questline you have to make a choice, if you side with the Volkihar you become a Vampire Lord, if you side with the Dawnguard you will get another chance to become a VL at the end of the questline

3) you can enter the new area, but you can't do the Dragonborn Questline without starting vanilla Skyrims MQ.. the side quests it adds can be done though
