I just bought Breezehome, and I did a lot of stuff before I even went inside.

I got the Legendary edition (which has the Hearthfire add-on) and now I wish I hadn't bought the home.

So, I need some cheats/easy ways to get 5,000+ gold....

If you are on PC. Just use the command console.

player.additem f 5000

If not, then you need to loot some dungeons or do some quests or craft st00fz then sell it.

First of all, wrong forum.

Second, if you're on a PC, open the Console (` or ~) and type "player.additem f 5000" without the quotes.

and here I've been doing "player. additem 0000000f 5000"

Easy money? About the easiest is join the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild. When your on a thieves guild job steal extra stuff and sell that off to the fencer. She usually has about 4k on her every other day or so.

Easy money that you earn legit then go craft an sell gear or kill bandits.

Or use one of the many mods or the console command personally I prefer torturing an maiming my victims for their ill gotten gains rather then do it the boring way.

Not everyone can be insane like me though.

Clear out Kolskeggr (gold mine in the reach) and Gloombound (ebony mine in Eastmarch), then sell the ore to the respective mine owners.

Slightly more than 5000 gold combined.

For PC, get a good mod that makes ore veins infinite, then just spend an hour or so (real time) mining.

if you dead thrall cicero, you can earn 4.5k every 30 seconds. also works with the aetherium ritual. if you don't want to depend on shop gold, you can replace cicero for malkoran. less quest and level requirements but less gold - only yields 200 gold per 30 seconds and requires a somewhat dangerous fight, depending how combat oriented you are. the merchant method is quite fast - you can afford to invest in every store quite easily - 9k per minute will really make up for itself quickly. or if you don't want to wait: save, shoot the merchant in the face, reload. lastly, the 30 seconds is fairly conservative - you could probably do it in 10 seconds with a few hot keys and a good weapon.
