I started Abot's Guars yesterday.
The controls are unusual but not too awful difficult to get used to.
You're only working with the jump key (E), the Control Key (Sneak) and the spacebar along with the mouse and mouse buttons. The stepped combinations can be a bit confusing.
I had many crashes fine-tuning my position in third person view. Not sure why. I slowed down the button pushing and that seemed to help.
Also found it impossible to have Julan Ashlander Companion share the ride, Crashed with everything I tried.
But once I decided to just ride the critter, I had a high speed run from Ald-ruhn up to Maar-Gan and all the way to Uvirith's Grave without a crash.
A LOT of fun. If a bit clunky.
A MAJOR problem is not knowing where exactly the Sneak toggle is at any given time.
It's easy to dismount and speak to an NPC and accidently pick his pockets.
The sneak toggle comes form a patch. Maybe MCP or MPP.
This particular method of control would work a lot better w/o the toggle probably.
HAHA!! I P.O.'d several people on my trip across the land. But I just jumped back on my Guar and ran away from them at high speed.
ADDED: I just looked at MCP and was able to change the toggle for Sneak. Cool. Should make things a lot better for controling this beast. Anxious to try it out.
