I bought the House in Riften, and a few days later saw that I had to return to
the Jarl. When I did, she has nothing to say in regards to this.

I reloaded a real old game, and after buying the house, immediately talked to
the Jarl, and she gave me the title.

This is somehow bugged. I even kept the book and key on me for the house,
and it still doesnt work.

Anyone have any ideas?

She must have wanted that house for herself, because it has a kitchen in it.

Have the same problem. "return to the jarl of riften" is on my quest list, but she has nothing to say

Glad Im not the only one. Guess its a learning lesson
to talk to a Jarl right away after buying a house.

BTW what does that title give you anyway? I know she gives a
weapon, but dont see any other value of it. Hope it doesnt hurt
not getting the title for endgame.
