I read on these forums that clamping the frame rate to 55 or below will help with micro-stuttering. Was very happy when I tried it out because it worked perfectly in my case!
I used Bandicam to clamp the fps.
However, with Bandicam in the background, my game crashes to desktop every 5 minutes.
I run the game using FNV4GB.exe otherwise it would crash and with Bandicam it's like I'm not using the 4GB fix at all.
I'm sure it's Bandicam causing the CTD's because without it I can game for long hours at a stretch.
-- Anyone has an idea why this is happening?
-- Perhaps there is another program you would suggest to clamp fps?
For reference, my specs are as follows:
i7 930 @ 4Ghz
6GB RAM
GTX 670 4GB
I have very few mods, the largest one is NMC's texture pack, then I have some small texture packs for individual objects (like to make cigarette packets HD, certain books HD etc).
But as I said I'm sure it's not a mod problem since I have this problem only when I'm running Bandicam.
