Need help curing Rockjoint

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 8:23 pm

Just got to Riverwood, how can I cure it without having to make a long journey to whiterun? Im level 2 and rely on melee, so i rather not make that journey with a debuff!

svcks that they would give me such a big debuff this early in the game without any easy way to access a cure.

Thanks.

Go into the general store in riverwood and buy a cure disease potion OR jump into the river and swim downstream to whiterun, saves walking.

Riverwood and Whiterun are fairly close together. I'm pretty sure there are no shrines in Riverwood either.

I've been bitten by skeemer and gotten ataxia. I've taken plenty of cure disease potions and prayed to various shrines. Nothing seems to help. At least I don't think it helps. Anytime I go to a potion merchant they always say I don't look so good and tell me I have ataxia. What's the deal?!

Is being nvde related to the diseases you acquired?

It's really not that far to Whiterun. You can hoof it there in just a few minutes, and like someone said, if you follow the main road, the worst you will meet is a couple of wolves. Stray too far from the main road though and you could encounter a Frost Troll, but it is easy to outrun them.

How can you hate it if you don't even know you have it? that's my problem with diseases - even in real life if all I have is a bloody cold - I know, and I love to complain about it. In Skyrim, I never feel the effect well enough to cause any problems.

Skyrim diseases are nothing.

Another case of Beth being too scared to make a daring move against the player.

In Daggerfall, an untreated disease would kill you. If you were too far from a town to heal, then you're sorry ass was starting a new character.

Turn around and head back towards Helgem(not sure of spelling) you will see a fork in the road, while looking at road sign to the right you should see what looks like logs forming stairs, follow these and it will lead you to a shrine of Talos.

I admit the diseases could've been a little more daring. But not like in Daggerfall where it would kill you, that would just be irritating.

Maybe instead of a disease that only takes away 25% of your damage could take away like 75%.

Lol, i was just about to say that. Like 10 years ago, i remember catching Witches Pox on one of my char's when he was far from town and didn't have a Potion of Purification or any Cure Disease spells, whenever i'd attempt to fast travel to the nearest city with a Temple, i'd arrive dead. I also fought a Vampire for awhile to catch Vamprism, and when i did, i also caught the Bubonic Plague (Black Death), and i'd die before i could turn into a Vampire. Pissed me off, because i had to cure it along with Vampirism, which Vampires only had a 0.6% chance of infecting you with Vampirism, so you had to let them beat on you for awhile, which also more often than not, got you diseased with something nasty. Vampires, Mummies and Zombies carried the nastiest sort of diseases, crap that would drop you dead within a few days.

Interesting thing about Rockjoint, is that if there's a magic effect that can decrease the amount of damage you do with weapons, then there is also a way to make a magic effect that increases the damage you do with all weapons. Add that effect to Vampirism to make it stronger. Preferably as part of a new "Volkihar Vampiris" strain, a Warrior-like strain while the "Sanguinare Vampiris" strain is suited more towards Assassins.
